i tested a few channels, thought u might be interested to know...

.. free cloudtv, sports category, most hv buffer problems, but one is good - supersport worldcup. stable, decent video, but..... commentary in portugese, i think...

.. mangotv, time shift, cctv1 hd, great hd video, but commentary in chinese... occasional stutters.

.. aotg is most stable but video is not better, sometimes worse than the other two above. midnight match is pretty bad with buffering issues. later matches ok.

free cloudtv, there r several supersport, try all of them! there is one called supersport worldcup, think its a free Brazilian broadcast, in portugese, very stable, decent video. there is another one called supersport worldcup english, tapped from free astro arena, video not so good.

last night, mexico...?? that was two nights ago. hope ur not watching replays! replays r easy to find, all over utube, xbmc, etc....

just to share my experience with q5ii on worldcup2014 live so far:


1... best is mangotv/timeshift/cctv1 hd - the hd video is superb! occasionally runs into buffering issue but not much. commentary in mandarin. i use this channel mostly.

2... astro-on-the-go - its started ok one day1, now... while no crashing, the video is poor most of the time, buffers often for 0000 and 0300 matches. it becomes good again at 0600 match, which means trouble when the traffic is high, insufficient bandwidth, bottlenecks at peak times...??

3... cloudtv, go to sports category, many channels but.. look for supersportworldcupbrazil - this brazilian 2hd channel is stable, video good enough. commentary in portugese.

4... xbmc, go to navi-x, lots of channel in various languages. best one i found is a brazilian feed in one of the "worldcup live" links.

Need some help.
I bought the Q6II non-emmc version.
I found that I can only use the first USB for connecting ext-hdd and mouse.
So if I need to watch movie on ext-hdd, I need to unplug the mouse and put in the ext-hdd instead.

yr unit can upgrade to 1.0.5 eng non-emmc. 1.0.6 eng non-emmc not available.

can't get from yr seller? if yes, u know wat to do next time.

really, i wonder how many sellers and resellers here just sell and disappear? why so bad...??

worse for himedia as the products are actually quite good, well worth it, imo.

it shudn't be. whether 2, 3 or 4 usb ports, all shud work.

looks like hardware failure to me.

probably no point trying to repair. either live with it or buy a new unit....

i can't help here.... becos yrs is q10, not same as q5 which i hv.

but hopefully, some other q10ii owner can help you.

it is best u get good link from seller becos for eng versions, the website versions can be wrong or hv malware.

its best you go back to the seller again... when it comes to himedia i notice the after sales support from the seller is crucial, else its a very frustrating experience.

if your device was on 1.0.6 china firmware, check if it has auto-updated to 1.0.7 china.

my q5ii non-emmc was "forced" to auto-update.

have not checked it thoroughly, but saw a new feature for making shortcuts with remote.

good news this time, it did not wipe out my existing apps, all remained intact, unlike the last time.


with that, it doesnt' look like there will be a 1.0.6 non-emmc eng.

and, 1.0.7 emmc eng should be coming soon.

like I just said, becos 1.0.7 china is already out, looks unlikely 1.0.6 eng will come.
which means likely no more new eng firmware for non-emmc....

Who updated to 1.0.7 on q5ii already? Any change log in English?

what is the different eng and china firmware?

main difference is china one doesn't have playstore. becos google is banned in china.
