QUOTE(mrjgx @ Jan 16 2013, 04:43 PM) Not bad..what do you think of the bike? I read a lot of good review about it and none are negative. Some said Cadel use this one instead of the Impec as the teammachine is much more comfort on the road. Impec is a technological showcase for BMC because of their overspent automated giant carbon loom weaving machine. It produces tubes without having the need for carbon cloth cutouts to be fitted to moulds in order to create the tubes they need. Their machine will just weave, braid and apply resin to the tubes radially to form important tubes of the bike. Then it is joined by mirror images of carbon shells that forms the lugs to connecting the individual tubes.I know i want an sl4 but this is Still a pro level frame nonetheless..and cheaper..hurm ![]() ![]() ![]() It was reportedly too stiff or something like that and wasn't very favored by the pro team... which is why it wasn't popular... That being said, it was actually a very well thought concept as it is possible to bring back mass produced custom made sizes for carbon frames for the first time in many many years. You can think of the TeamMachine as a RaceMachine with more compliancy built into it. RaceMachine has TCC (tuned compliance concept) applied on it's fork but TeamMachine has TCC both on it's fork and also on it's frame. Only problem i heard so far is a seatpost that constantly slips as the design differs from RaceMachine. Nothing to worry as it is only micro-slippage where after a couple of weeks of riding. You might need to raise it a few MM's. I can't tell you if it is good or bad as i have never really ridden one for a long time but only a short first impression and i am not for one to believe in first impressions. For that price. It didn't gave full sram red. I think it was the calipers wasn't Red or something like that. Still no cheap stuff there, they fitted Tektro's TRP R970. |

QUOTE(gfx @ Jan 16 2013, 08:04 PM) Hi guys, if your RM300 one is working fine or requiring minor repairs... suggest you use that for commuting as a commuter bike and a fancy leisure one doesn't mix... it'll get knicked pretty fast let alone one that is worth RM2k...I'm planning to start a new hobby now.....cycling. I still have my plain old rm300 mountain bike that i use to commute back in my university times.. and considering to buy a new, lighter one. I'm planning to use the bicycle for leisure cycling, and if gods willing, to commute to work.. from usj 17 to ara damansara....roughly around 14kms.. Been reading, the one that i should choose is either road bike, or hybrid bike... so, yeah... any opinion? my budget range is around 2k.. else, you'll be choosing at some flatbars whether it is 26" or 700c based ones... Polygon F series might be a good start...F3.0 is about RM1.9k on the price tag and F5.0 is RM2.7k on the tag last i saw... best is to find your way into something more serious if you can afford it rather than trying to manage between both sensible and leisure... |

QUOTE(yolk @ Jan 17 2013, 09:23 AM) How much is a used 2012 Cannondale CAAD 10 worth in RM ? Bike is near new with both groupset and frame having done less than 500km. SRAM Red 2012 or older one?- SRAM Red Groupset. - Wheels (near new) - Shimano R510 with Schwalbe Lugano tyres - Saddle Prologo - Bars 3T Ergonova Pro - Stem and Seatpost Cannondale Have never seen a CAAD10 equipped like that over here in stock form. It must have been upgraded by the owner i think. It will not be cheap for a lightweight alloy bike. Expect at least RM9k and above since the Red would have costed at least RM5k over here when new and you have Ergonova bars which is another RM300-Rm400 bucks. The wheel is a bit surprising though based on how the bike is equipped. QUOTE(s7ran9er @ Jan 17 2013, 09:27 AM) hey bikers! New here and recently I'm interested to grab myself a bike and we all know how this is going to end, "Which bike should I get for beginner?" Now, I've decided not to drive car to office anymore instead cycle to office since it's really close by so would you all please recommend me a few? THANKS! if purely commuting... your question is... are you allowed to bring your bike into the office? is lrt part of your journey? are you going to be able to stand leaving your bike away from you?things to consider would be a folding bike if you can bring it onto office and LRT is a part of your journey as you can fold a foldie and lug it with you and place it under your workdesk... else, an el-cheapo bike will do or you will be in extreme heartbreak if it gets stolen... you are leaving your bike out in the open for the best part of 8 hours mind you.... QUOTE(s7ran9er @ Jan 17 2013, 10:06 AM) thanks for the reply. I'm thinking the budget somewhere below RM1.5k and usually riding on road but what's a hybrid? a hybrid is usually a MTB with skinny tires or a road bike with a flat MTB style handlebar... it is used for running errands or commuting to work..» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by butthead: Jan 17 2013, 02:09 PM |

QUOTE(yolk @ Jan 17 2013, 02:14 PM) No idea what year the groupset is. I assume it's 2012 model since the bike is fairly new. Owner probably keeping the better wheelset for the next bike or to reduce the cost while trying to sell it. Bike was sold for AUD 1.8k it doesn't look like this years bike ... not sure bout last year though...[attachmentid=3266925] if you said it is still fairly new like 5 to 6 months old.. then get it (if you do not intend to get a carbon bike and the size is right)... no point thinking... it is not possible to be priced at AUD1.8k which is under RM6k if my calculation is correct? a model equipped with Rival is already priced more than that, 2k USD when new http://www.cannondale.com/2013/bikes/road/...double-crankset so, it is a matter of whether if you will get tempted to buy a carbon after getting this... It's old Sram Red btw looking at the crank...the SRAM Red when new would have taken up the entire portion of the price he is selling... |

QUOTE(yolk @ Jan 17 2013, 02:31 PM) here's the listing for the bike and more pics wonder how true is it that it is near new and only 500K?caad 10 Was looking out for a bike for a friend who had a budget of aud 1.6k .. sadly was outbid for this item .. definitely would make an awesome buy though. i would have piled AUD2k in without thinking twice if i wanted to stay on an alloy frame... cos my bike costs that much, maybe even more and i am only Apex equipped.. tmr morning 9.50am...
get some cable ties... turn on the TV switch astro onto channel 707 (TLC, the irony of it) or 551 (discovery, the channel that sponsored but never discovered any doping scandals in the team) and tie yourself up with the cable ties so you don't fling the remote or go punching the TV... repeat again on on day after tomorrow if you have not tried to kill yourself by biting your tongue or banging your head on tofu.... |

QUOTE(yolk @ Jan 18 2013, 07:02 AM) came across a set of enve wheels for sale while browsing .. saw someone mentioned it before the CK R45's is already RM2k here... the rims itself could easily fetch another RM4k...not surprising for it to be that price...ENVE 45's Clinchers Chris King Hubs with Shimano Freehub. Going for AUD 1.6k .. apparently retail price is AUD 3.5k. Owner upgrading to enve tubs. Lucky it costs more than my bike [attachmentid=3268072] [attachmentid=3268073] |
