no lar... i meant it's a personal thing lar... you either like it or you hate it...

i personally have no problems with it... but my spez can't really be considered a cutout since it goes all the way from 1/4 onwards from the front to the end with only a small bridge near the end holding both sides of the saddle in tack...

i didn't really feel the toupe against my romin...but generally, i get the feeling it is wider than most saddle out there.. which was part of my decision making...
*
oo u on romin?

the cheaper romin lar... think it's called expert or something like that... not the pro or s-work ones...
*
so, what made u choose romin instead of toupe?

you'll laugh at this...

price... because the romin is on 30% off at that time... and i thought my ass can live with 30% less...

and they don't have the cheap toupe in stock at that time... all sold out already... left the 500 dollar ones..

+ i was in need of a saddle after my nago evo ts got to worn out at the sides and my shorts was sort of having some friction from the sides and wearing it thin... so, better to get a new saddle then a pair of new shorts...

i heard if u merge wrong items, u gonna get negative effect. so i might become even slower after i merge those items. so cannot attack riders up peres, and cannot stravasshole on weekend rides.

we'll see....

actually... i am speculating that it is better to have that plastic thing

rising in and out of the romin now sometimes will cause the shorts near the pad area to hook onto the nose as i sit sometimes on the tip of the saddle...maybe it's just me.. but, there is a possibility the plastic bit might help resolve this problem as i think the plastic should be more slippery than the leather itself..

if bengang enough... i jus use some of those car leather seat polish to kasi gosok a bit so it becomes slippery a bit.... if not... always have to yank my shorts up once in a while...

Buying saddle is a personal preference la. Each person has different butt..read review alone not enough you have to try it yourself tongue.gif
*
trial and error. that's what i'm doing now. true, reading reviews alone is not enough. but at least can try the most popular choice within set criteria. wouldn't u agree?

this would be my fifth saddle

Hi, if I intend to get a bike fit like a boss, should I just go and leave it to the expert or firstly to do some research and experiment of my own, at least I can give more accurate feedback for them to work on?
*
if u wanna be like a boss, obviously la u just hand over ur money and the fella do everything for u

there is also this dude called nick flyger who used to be hired by our national sports council to be their biomechanist and also penned a column in cycling malaysia... he did some fitting sessions for amateurs for quite an affordable fee but i think he has already left the post here back to his home country australia...

if u contact nick, he will ask u to get in touch with patrick potvin.

mac wai, if u r really interested, i can give u his details

About the 2012 bikes, no Specialized?? Colnago looks awfully plain! What's so special about it apart from being Italian?
*
u have to try it urself to experience it i guess. i've never rode a colnago, but some of my friends have. and that was what they told me.
