i really don't understand this 'ghost rider' attitude. if don't wanna pay for entry fee, just don't join the ride la. sure, u don't take their water, food, etc, but u still enjoy the traffic control. these riders have another 53 weekends in a year to ride that route, why still wanna gatecrash the event?

Added on January 3, 2013, 10:30 amsorry if i hurt any ghost riders' feelings. but it's just not cool to gatecrash other people's events

anyway, got my toupe already and installed. i pushed it back rearwards 15mm, because when i compared it with arione, if i place the two saddles side by side, arione's nose is longer by 15mm, with the widest part (wing) of both saddles at same position.

so i had set it up by maintaining the widest part of the old and new saddle, at the same position.

butthead, is this the right way to do it?

how i know he will not go to the extent of re-painting his bike so i will drop my guard and he can sneak up behind me to pose a challenge?
*
i don't think so. because he would not want to lose the limited edition status

To build the ultimate sworks Tarmac SL4 for climbing purposes..all zipp carbon cockpits, SRAM Red 2013, paired with my not so weight weenie FR0, do you think I can achieve a 6.5kg of total bike weight or its not possible?

Not so ultimate lah unless I use sub 1.3kg tubs wheelset..but 6.5kg is attainable right or perhaps 6kg..
*
impossibru i think. u need to use tubs, and get a lightweight saddle too.

Added on January 3, 2013, 3:00 pmsub 7kg maybe la, but not 6.5kg

if you sit on the rear a whole lot.. i suppose that would be the way.. but isn't the curvature of the arione a bit more forward than the toupe... if that is the case, it would be causing you to sit further back will it not?
*
so... do i need to have the spez nose at the same location as arione?

i think you can try and experiment by aligning the two red lines together..

is the difference between the lines = to the difference of the nose length between the two?
*
yes, that's my current setup

i don't remember the exact dimension. but roughly

fizik = nose to redline = 25
spez = nose to redline = 23.5

ahh... language problem lar... a picture sez a thousand words.. if not, we'll be talking until tomorrow not realizing we are talking the same thing...

but, i can't come to grapple how the fizik nose is longer since if you count from the front most to where is curves.... it should in theory be the same as the toupe..

the most is the toupe having a shorter tail than the fizik... looking from pic lar...
with all the video equipment, trainer and stuff??

nick used to do it at at his apartment in bukit jalil i think....
*
the toupe nose is shorter. really. i've compared it side by side with the arione.

yes, rm350 with the video, laser, trainer, report, etc

Miao Korr...thanks for the info, I will get Patrick's contact from you when I am ready, base on BH feedback (thanks!) I think it is better for me to have self assessment on my riding posture and experiment a little more before going to the expert. I think I need to improve a few notches before it is really worthwhile doing it. sweat.gif
*
just continue riding as usual, do ur own reading first, trial and error. build ur base. then maybe after a year, u can do the bikefitting. coz stronger cycling muscles might yield different posture.

i think that is most of us... but from the fitting sessions... they can find ways to correct it or minimize the movements as much as possible as this movements causes joint ailments as it has to bear the loads from an angle it was not designed to...

it usually is due to foot irregularities and is corrected with wedges of some sort or maybe sometimes just a simple adjustment of your cleats...
*
yes i'm using wedges now

My immediate aim is to graduate from a noob to an average rider in the shortest possible time. Could you please let me know what is the benchmark for an average local rider? As I have no idea ...forever alone rider, tats me.
*
hard to put it exactly. my definition of a average rider might be different from butthead's and definitely different from vinann's

if u read maintenance books, or only tutorials from parktool or pinkbike, they actually tell u to remove the bearing seals, and degrease and put in fresh grease. complete service of the bike. but over here, i'm not sure which shops actually do this, despite charging up to rm200 for full service.
