some ppl doesnt have much tolerate when comes to music, becos for me, if i want to listen to music, i either dont listen to crap at all or enjoy music on a better setup. So all the setup i use is decent at least, living room, pc, portable player and now setting up car. Different ppl different requirement some ppl like to listen, some ppl love to listen, some ppl loves to enjoy good music

i cant wait to drive my preve again tomorrow the car suddenly become very light, i dont think pickup will lose vios lo.. maybe they tweak the clutch abit.. jst now the SA drive my car to my house, he stalled my engine when he reverse lol.. dunno what he did, speechless le lol.. now my only complain is got alot sound effects... sienz.. fix this later another sound come back.. lucky i offshore based so i have offshore leave can go SC.. if not when i go sc sure they kena fucuk gao gao..

I did dismantle the c pillar cover, mounting board and everything and test drive with naked rear deck
Still dont know the source of sound, but it is somewhere at the deck. Most probably the chassis itself.

This is original rear speaker - double cone full range  speaker. Front i changed to branded component  speaker and the sound is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better

flip down rear seat->unscrew small fabric seat at the bottom using 7mm spanar->unscrew 3 screw at mounting board->pull out rubber lining which blocked c pilar cover->remove c pilar cover carefully->pull out mounting board, then u will see the inner rear deck and speaker

Under the hot sun, open the bonnet, open the headlamp bulb cover at the back, let it dry for like 10 to 15 minutes, put back the bulb cover and try again.

If remain the same, claim warranty.

I personally think that maybe ur headlight got cracked somewhere. OR problem with the sealant.

Better try this before sent to sc

1) spot any cracked (if spotted then need to replace i thnk)
2) if no crack, try to put silicon to seal the suspected area

better don do DIY... cos later the sc say u diy void warranty, any problem just send to SC.. let them settle easier, if they cannot settle last resort only DIY..

ryuken74, you can claim under warranty if you want to.
but to me if simple drying can solve the issue, I wouldn't want them to open my parts. Later if here or there scratch, tak best sudah

It is not just proton service that sucks...other service as well. For example, try booking bus ticket to singapore via a luxurious bus coach company, made a call and confirm booking of seat. Try calling next day and reconfirm again, the agent said that your booking was not recorded.

I think sometimes the people behind the customer service line should be blamed and not the company. Shame though that these few bad hat spoils the reputation of the company.

I only got my service done, told them my problems, they ask me to make another appointment for that, i dont understand why. I've called Proton i-care and complained, but dont think anything will be done, as the person answering the call also tidak-apa attitude.

I waited for 2hours then left in a cab, then came back 345pm and waited till about 530pm.

Penat weh beratur nak book plate no. Can't wait to hold mine!

Just received my black Preve Executive CVT this afternoon. I've been eyeing Preve since its Tuah reincarnation. I settled for executive as it is still within my affordability and after following this thread for quite some time. Checked my chassis number and it indicates 19xxx.

I was driving it mildly and cant wait until the running in period is over. Left my car under the rain in the evening. Once the rain stopped i decided to give it a run again. However, i have to turn the ignition 3 times before it starts. Then when i reversed the car, it almost stalled.

hi guys, i am new here please help to buy my first car.
Today i went to proton showroom and i saw the preve and i really like it, but i heard that there is problems with the cfe version so i am thinking to go with the IAFM version but before i go with this option
please tell me what are the common problems?, and is it easy to fix it if there is? what about the FC?, stability on the road? and also one agent tell me it's under power is it right?
please share if you have more information, thanks and best regards

YOu guys have any idea on how to eject the cd??? - No idea, last time mine stuck inside a car DVD unit, I just push in another disc half way in for it to detect and pull out, then let the unit motor move few times, the disc that stuck inside came out a bit and I pull it out by force..  

If you can dismantle the CD mechanism, there should be some gears and pulley between the printed circuit board and the CD slot mechanism, can turn the gear manually to move the CD out....I have not seen any force eject mechanism for the slot in type CD mechanism, only those normal tray type have...it was 5 or 6 years back, maybe the new slot in type mechanism have force eject?? .... not so fancy of slot in mechanism..


So far my other problem:

i) Gear console light not turn on. - No gear console light for Preve Exec CVT
ii) Cold start and stalled engine. (eventhough i wait until engine checked) - Go SC to check
iii) Left aircond vent not fit properly (cannot turn left or right) - Go SC to rectify
iv) alignment is a bit off to the left - Free alignment if less than 1000km at SC

Is time to FUCUK again.
Yeah, what else can I do? I had emailed them, call them, filled up form at their website & facebook...all went into hell.
I called last time, and ecotint asked me to refer back to Proton for the warranty.

I just received call from ICare asking me to go meet someone at service centre, and asked me to bring along the warranty card. Hmm...so they want to claim from ecotint? 
A silly question from me, whats the ecotint warranty card for? to claim manufacturer defeat?

My conclusion is that ICare is really S**K, their facebook seems to be more effective 

If such a small issue of asking compensation from SC is so difficult, bigger issue even worse

just got the car early of this month (exec Manual). Found some problems in my car:


actually found some problems this few days
1. when at night, raining, my 4 windows will getting blur and sometimes my windscreen
also getting blur easily, need to use viper regularly to clear up this blur. dont
is it bcoz of power window regulator problem that got wind flow inside the car
making it easy to getting blur.

if i know preve manual got clutch hardness and slow pickup, rather spend 10K+ to get the turbo CFE. even i think better get the Exec Auto rather than manual. really regretted....

I bet most of the exec/manual owners only tested the premium version as they don't have a test drive unit for exec model.
