BTW, to those who have that rattling dashboard, saw in Prevoc FB last night that one of the member have DIY it by have a small folded paper inserted on the tfar right dashboard against the A Pillar. According to him it worked. Huhuhu

I heard before that a few of them don't have this issue, maybe can solve. It only vibrates at 2k rpm which turbo kicks in.

VW cheapest need RM100k, what you think? 

anyway, any new owner which about 1 week only?
i need clarification that the power window issues solved the bulging outwards issues...

i test drive preve at kelana jaya giant and the car stop in the middle of road.. push start cannot use somemore..gosh... imagine u drive to johor frm KL and it happen half way journey !!!!

end up they send another car to pick us up and tow the car !!

i feel u Rich, with our annual leaves and valuable time wasted sending in for fixing. this is not cool at all.

proton should compensate 1st batch owner.

come to think of it, we need to :-

-put paper to stop dashboard vibration
-tie fuel line hose to reduce mounting vibration
-put 3m tube to reduce sound noise
-put play doh to reduce wind sound
-cut carpet to pedal down more
-what else...

wasn't the power window regulator issues like those old time such as failure motor, broken bracket, cable snapped, poor plastic roller, etc...

as checked, it is the design issues of door frame or power window regulator... it could be weak metal structure caused the bend...

I came to realize that my radio is making some sort of signal weak sound. Anybody experiencing it?

seem the design of Preve PW = Saga PW... sigh...

It is an unresolved matter. Confirmed by Proton.
Their vendor is working this.
It happen on Saga BLM too.

ald send my loan for approval, but i still cant made up my mind which model to choose. exec mt or cvt. since i unable to test drive these 2 model unit is making much harder to choose.

kinda doubt the cvt gearbox will be underpower like saga flx version (loud engine rev and high rev) since im choosing non turbo.

any advise for those who bought exec cvt or manual owners? thx

ya lor, i missed out

-the blinking HU - blinking don't have, dimming have
-Left folding mirror hitting the window glass - mine exec version, manual close, no problem
-engine bocor - wow..never happen, how engine bocor?
-headlight goes dimmed at night - happen when compressor kicks in, interrupt the BT streaming as well
-cannot flash highlight at night - did not try, tonight I try, I tried when I collect my car during noon, can flash highlight....
-back seat got noise - mine have as well, and damn noisy, not comfortable at all sitting at the back, definitely a design/quality problem,
-back power socket loose - mine ok
-etc..

maybe guys can add in, then we see what problem/s have been eliminated for the newer batch. I hope proton improve the quality for the newer batch.

hi all. If u r servicing ur preve, ask for the product improvement check points. Normally all check points only available to certain sc(branch) which provides ecu n tcu update.

Iafm+ version of preve n flx also get ecu/tcu update. But i heard certain sc wont do it unless u ask for it. It supposed to be automatically done when u service ur car.Please report if u encounter that to icare.

About the power windows, prtn already acknowledge that. Its the buldging issue, not the power windows not working issue.

I think the problem lies on the same mould@design on the door side. Since it doesnt happen to other door except driver's side, i think think they r trying their best to rectify that, unless they change the inside door panel which causing the probs. Now what i see is they r trying to change the regulator 1st. If change the inner door panel, it involves another set of test especially side impact crash test coz redesigning inner frame involve crash worthiness. During prototype, they didnt encounter that. Seems the tolerance is big when mass production. I really hope they will continue doing the improvement until solve it. On blm, it doesnt cause the windows problem even it does buldge as reported by owners. 10 years warranty come with cost to prtn, i dont think prtn is happily to make it unsolve for years n keep changing regulators for free untill 10 years. I believe they will fork out permanent solution.

On dash vibration, i think 2 parts diy which u can check.

1stly, when the dash vibrate, try to hold ur rear mirror to see whether its coming out from the mirror coz there is a case metal vibration between the rear mirror with front glass. If that the case, just refit@tighten it within the slot@ u can ask them to do it during ur service if that part is the cause.

2ndly, if the 1st one dont solve the probs, check underneath the steering where the odb connector been securely in place(there is a proper slot for it), in case when they doing any diagnostic@reflash, the techie forgot to put it back properly in the slot. Yup, i really hate that part coz they shud done it properly.

If not solve,so, many things need to check whether dash fittings@aircond panel fitting, n shud be check by them coz if doing it diy, break something, warraty is void.

about the check points n tcu@ecu update. Dont waste ur time by test ur luck going to sc. Better call the respective sc whether they provide the service@not. If provide, then place ur booking.

Not all service centre can perform the mapping. Mainly of manpower issue. We can't afford our cars stranded there if suddenly they can't flash properly?

I dont care much on pregnant PW or gluk gluk gluk sound. But my PW always stuck when wind up. The window glass will pull the outer rubber going into the window track make it stuck. So imagine when going through toll plaza during heavy rain.

Some ppl happy with current setup.. So why they need to remap??

And fyi.. There is a list of 90 sc which can do remap.. Pls read more n get info more b4 u make any comment.. Malu laa hehe

PE SC already confirm to me that it is regarding new ECU/ TCU update

My car PW does not have the bulging issue or any sound but the PW switch will terjungkit. That is until i send it for 1k service today@Section 13 and complain about the switch. They fixed the switch but now its bulging outwards pulak..

Updated the ECU and now not a hint of sluggishness.

If really want me to complain, then I would say, the service centre. The uninformed staffs, the "don't care" attitude etc... that really could pissed off customers that trying to give Proton a chance to show it's improvements.
By mid end do you mean from 50km/h to 110km/h? The power is there waiting to be unleashed. Never tried those 150km/h to 200km/h though... 

If not mistaken preve executive can save more on fc , assume that driving skill (0-80km/h) and driving condition (90% city area which is jam for 1 hour to work 1.5 hour from work) is the same . isnt it ?

oO my friend told me his my vii 1.3 manual can go 350km , anyway i have place my booking for preve , anticipating for the date to bring her home haha ... Hopefully before xmas : )
