i've ipad previously and currently an ipad mini
but i'm not the one complaining the screen too small, i love it more than a normal ipad
with the same size win8.1 > ios
what important in win8.1 tablet is not the desktop main screen (yeah its small, but i can make the icon bigger, right?)
but the desktop ability to install any desktop windows program
i dont care if it doesnt have free microsoft office (i'll just go with open office then)
but what i care is if it is able to play the program i able to play on pc or not, in a small tablet
acer w3 doesnt count. current intel atom sucks

just wait a bit. Brands are lining up new models to launch with Haswell ULX + W8.1 (all are waiting for Intel to ramp up Haswell, and for MS to get the W8.1 out the door)
I think by end of 2013, the whole ball game could change in tablet
W8RT will go the "netbook" price bracket with Silvermont, and we could see some interesting offering with i3/5 ULX + W8.1 starting from RM2k (smaller size) to RM3k (larger size).

Agree bro . but maybe they dun even fall the price for Ivy base device ? hard to predict . coz this is what the manufacturers done before .

Current Atom is leaps and bound better than their previous low powered attempts.

But anyway, if by PLAY you mean games, then the current Atom has one BIGGGG problem, it cant do alpha blending properly so you end up with horrible graphic artifacts when playing games.. making them practically unplayable!

Intel just can't be trusted with drivers...

there's always one S-Pen bundled in the unit.

If you want to get the one that fits back into the port on the tablet, I'm pretty sure they'll charge a lot for it. If you just need a replacement S-Pen, just go buy an S-Pen for the Galaxy note from their shops. Remember, you want the S-Pen, not the C-Pen!

what is the difference between xe500t1c h01 vs a01? cant find info thru google...

and now lelong selling rm1299 for xe500t1c without keyboard...the keyboard cost rm500...my question is , xe500t1c keyboard compatible with xe700? thanks

i believe H01 is the 3G version while the A01 is the Wifi only version.

I'm getting interested with this tablet now that it sells for 1299 at lelong. Is it recommended? I'm actually eyeing fora stylus equipped tablet, which is note 10.1 but the price seems still high even for a rather 'old' gadget, and ms surface RT but limitation of RT a put off. Furthermore, this activ runs on win8, and can run x86 program.

I updated XE700T without any problem.

No problem updating to 8.1, loved the new keyboard. But the display driver always crash when wake up, causing some 5 second delay...

Which showroom in KL/PJ hv the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus ?

Just bought the XE500T1C-H01 from 1GadgetDotCom last Saturday. Ready stock.
But make sure you check everything at the shop. Turn on the device complete the config and test the touch screen plus the digitizer with the S-Pen.

The first unit that I bought have a faulty digitizer. Touch using fingers can detect but using the S-Pen cannot detect on the left half of the screen. Lucky my house is nearby so just return it back on the same day and 1Gadget replace a new unit for me with no question asked

Updated to Windows 8.1 and I can't believe how smooth this device run with the minimal spec that it got. Still remember using netbook when Intel Atom first came out and that was a nightmare .

BTW what case did you guys use for this tablet. Any casing selling at Samsung outlet?

Do you have the display driver problem when wake up from sleep?
