Family is impressed with my new Myvi! Fast, comfortable not as zippy or loose as my trusty old Kelisa but overall a beter ride.
1 question - I accidentally pressed the shift lock tonight. Did i do something wrong? How should I fix i or what? This post has been edited by pigduck: Dec 14 2012, 11:52 PM |

QUOTE(megat89 @ Dec 15 2012, 12:29 AM) No not long. Just click. I could still drive it home. I am just worried since SA when delivering said don't press it except when you cannot engage the electronics.Added on December 15, 2012, 1:42 amBtw, my tint looks ok in the showroom and while in the car in the evening and at night. I wished it was darker. Haha. Happy with it overall. Just my free gifts were incomplete. This post has been edited by pigduck: Dec 15 2012, 01:42 AM |

QUOTE(protogyl @ Dec 17 2012, 04:01 PM) guys im getting my car (myvi se 1.5) this week. perodua will be giving me rm300 voucher for tint and sales advisor suggested for raytech armor cost about rm900. can redeem the voucher so only need to pay rm600. he said if i use the voucher, install at their panel i dont have to worry about warranty becoz he said this panel is perodua assigned panel to install tint. i spoke to him to only use rm300 for a normal tint, he said voucher is not valid cheaper ones. so im seeking for opinion should i take the armor tint n top rm600 n dont have to worry about warranty or just take the voucher n go to any tint shop n might be having warranty issue if something happen? What is raytech armor? What kind of protection do you get? Yours sounds cheap. I paid rm1k for my raytech. Go with Perodua panel. At least you get your car out and already tinted. Less hassle. I find the Lokatoo GPS really ugly and lousy. Y can't they use Papago? Is there some way to install Some other software? Will it void my warranty?

So they say they reason why my GPS can't seem to get any signal/connect is because of the Raytech tint. And so the blame game starts.

Betamek does reverse cameras too. Did you guys install in your Myvi? Does it connect to the Multimedia Unit?
Added on December 21, 2012, 1:31 pmUpdate: Perodua SA/CS took my car to Raytech tint instead of Betamek as they said they would. Raytech cut a hole in the tint at the rearview mirror without my consent to test the gps even though they claimed it's not their tint's fault. But now I have a glaring bright spot at the top of the windscreen where the dark tint was. So now after cutting the hole, it seems I get better GPS reception (detecting a min. of 7-10 satellites as compared to y'day and the day before when it was just 0-3) but it could be because they were using the radio instead of the USB like I mentioned. There was no rain Wednesday or Thursday. I could blame the clouds but driving back just now it was drizzling with gloomy skies. I drove from PJ to Menara KL to Bangsar without satellite detection or frequent drops or loss connection. My friend at least got her GPS unit to work all the way to PJ to Menara KL albeit slow. My questions to Perodua SA/CS:- 1. Just say it's Raytech's fault and they claim now after the hole is cut and it's the tint's fault and they will replace my tint, will they replace it with lower or higher grade tint than I had paid for? Should I not get compensated? 2. Why did Perodua/Raytech cut the tint without consulting me first? Now there's a gaping bright hole that is disturbing and allows UV rays to come into the car defeating the purpose of putting solar tint. If they are to leave it as that, should I not get compensation for slicing off a sizeable amount of tint that I had paid for? 3. This tint company is Perodua approved since a Perodua SA advised to use it without suggesting any other brands. Why then should it interfere with my GPS if it's guaranteed not to? I never tested my Smart Tag. Should I not get compensated for false advice/advertising? It's a matter of trust and principle that was violated. 4. Perodua mentioned y'day they would take my car to Betamek and not to the tint shop so my assumption was always that they would check the Multimedia HU unit and not fiddle with the tint. They asked for my receipts and bills for the Multimedia HU Unit and not the tint. Instead, they detoured without my knowledge to Raytech even though I advised the SA to update me accordingly. 5. Perodua SA said this is their 1st encounter with a complaint re: Raytech (in which case, it may not be the tint's problem, right? Their HQ advised that it was the tint) although other customers used different type of Raytech tint. Then why did the Raytech SA advise me to get this security/solar tint? I believe the Perodua SA was advising me just to get solar tint at the time which was cheaper too. PS:- 1. Raytech SA said I am the 1st customer in their 8 year history to have this problem so they always thought it was the Multimedia HU 2. I gave the Perodua SA all the necessary information about how I noticed without the USB and with the radio on, the GPS seemed to work but with the USB playing, the GPS didn't work but today it seemed to work but maybe only 'cos of the hole or they had used the radio all the way from Raytech to Perodua. Also, they had gone into settings and turned off the "Radio and GPS" toggle thereby not truly testing the GPS for my problem. I wouldn't be using either or when I drive. I will be using them together. 3. Perodua SA said this was his 1st encounter with Raytech and Multimedia HU problem. Claimed other customers used different type of Raytech. 4. I did inform the Perodua SA that I gave him a 9/10 rating even though he left his job to others - to the CS who came with him, to the other SA who delivered my car, to the Raytech SA - I told him I expect service from him 5. The Raytech SA was a sly one. Previously she had told me she used CS75 on her car and y'day when complaining she said she used CS85 on her car. I am still impressed with Perodua nonetheless. Their humble CS/SA deserve recognition and they are now still trying to rectify the problem and to replace the tint that was cut without my consent plus head out to Betamek in Rawang. Raytech doesn't give refunds even though they removed all the tint on my windscreen and there is proof of better GPS signal. It detects at least 10 satellites now. Terrible.
Since no refunds, Raytech is replacing the same tint to my windscreen for *free* even though I paid for it. I worry next time when we claim warranty on poor heat rejection or discolouration that they will have something to say. Not impressed at all. Perodua HQ / Betamek has suggested to remove the SD card and to let it 'rest' for awhile before inserting it back into the Multimedia HU. And I am meant to drive the Myvi and to see if this weak GPS problem persists. Why can't Perodua just replace the HU unit or add a booster? WHAT KIND OF HU UNIT IS THIS? It is much better to have a portable GPS if this is the kind of quality Lokatoo / Betamek is. |

QUOTE(protogyl @ Dec 21 2012, 06:13 PM) hi bro pigeuck, Yes, I'm pretty disgusted at Raytech too. i was about to install raytech cs75 until i read ur case. this is terrible, hassle to every customer who involve inthis kind of situation and also giving customer initially false hope end up having their original paid tint to be replace with unknown ones. this is like a matter of trust. i always have this perception. those shop dare claiming they r "pakar" even though never encounter something like this before n fiddle n looking solution by experimenting on customers car. they dare to offer things that they themselves not fully know. gaining trust from them is always a problem for me, but no choice because raytech is the only tint that perodua say wont be having issue with the warranty. now im again comfuse which ones to install for my tint. solar/security or just solar which is cheaper and so far not encounter anybody having problem with it Raytech wasted Perodua's SA/CS whole day. And the customer's. They need to stop taking things into their own hands with consulting the customer. When the Perodua SA went back to them a 2nd time today, they removed ALL the tint from my windscreen without my consent AGAIN. Why can't they inform me of their actions? I had to hear that they took my car for several test drives to make sure the GPS worked. I wonder if it leaves a residue or I will have a spotty windscreen now. After removing the tint and reapplying a new one. Hopefully, removing the tint will not leave unsightly streaks. Then they replace it like they are doing me a favour. Terrible. Didn't like the way the Raytech SA talked either. When I asked if they would replacing it with the same grade, she said, "OF COURSE, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR." OH really? Then why is my GPS only working and detecting all satellites when the tint is off? I'm just curious if they will replace it with the same grade. Maybe they hate my guts now and give me terrible solar tint. AND THE WORST THING WAS, if I was not mistaken, during the enquiry time, I was saying I'd like my windcreen to have good IRR rejection and they suggested I go for CS85 instead. I was only planning to go for the solar tints 'cos they were cheaper - I think the Pro and EX Series. This post has been edited by pigduck: Dec 21 2012, 06:50 PM |
