QUOTE(waveweaver @ Nov 4 2012, 03:14 PM) Super Backup is for stock un-rooted phone. That app have very limited function. If your phone already rooted then use Titanium as the benefit is obviously much better/greater than Super Backup. telima kasey~ |

hey anyone have this problem?
When using an app, let's say whatsapp, then the screen goes off, then 1 sec later you press the home button to power it up then it will come back on, but the app will exit/minimize and go to home screen.. Doesn't happen if you let the screen off for longer, then it will lock the phone as usual.. Don't know it's a JB thing or what but after updated to JB only got this.. before this even if screen off for 1 sec or less the phone will be locked so if you unlock it will remain in the previous app you were using.. If you don't face this problem, could you try it out? and see if it happens to you also.. Very annoying leh the app keep exiting This post has been edited by LordDenning: Nov 4 2012, 03:36 PM |

QUOTE(ken_zie @ Nov 4 2012, 11:01 AM) Out of sudden after factory reset, I'm having problem with smart stay. it's preventing the screen from turning off when i'm not using it, just placing on the table. Need to turn off smart stay *sigh* That's the main problem also with my phone now which I posted a few pages back. This is what I did but depending on the mood of the phone, the problem may come back. I have done this a few times whenever it comes back. 1. Un-check the Smart Stay. Use the phone for a while. 2. Then check Smart Stay, immediately re-start phone. The phone will then sleep at set time. If it doesn't work the first time around, try again. It will. But like I said, the problem may come back. I have asked here whether I can do the firmware up-grade again to see if I can get rid of this problem. But so far, no sifus have answered. If you have found a permanent solution, do let me know. Thinking of taking my phone to the SC for a diagnosis. But since the issue is not major, will probably hold on for a short while. |

SOURCE: Read the Point number 12 of the page.. p/s: suggest TS to add this tip into the first page under the jayceooi links as i think it is quite common to occur when attempting to root.. How do you upgrade your firmware before this.? FOTA..Kies or Odin..? You can always reflash stock firmware again. Just to be sure.. do a factory reset after flashing. Make a backup first. Good luck.. |

My phone is stock - lock, stock and barrel. As I am not tech savvy, did not root and of course did not flash my phone at all. How do I reflash my stock firmware please? TQ. |

One question.. what is the difference between pressing "factory reset" in the settings and pressing "wipe" in the recovery mode?
