I am honestly surprised as well as confused that they would link to this story on MalaysiaKini.

http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/215168

You can read the full story on the GMS FB page where they posted it in full.

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=296...&type=1&theater

Those MPs might have been bashing BNM in Parliament but note that they have also referred to Genneva as 'investors' which is a term that the GMS people hate and abhor. They have also called the scheme dodgy. biggrin.gif

There are a handful of likes and shares so far but no comments yet. I honestly want to see how the GMS hardcores will react to this. Catch-22 situations seem to be popping up all the time. If they were to applaud those 2 MPs, it means they also agree to be defined as investors, and that they fell prey for a dodgy investment scheme. rclxm9.gif

Haha seems like the MPs are actually calling it a scam, and berating BNM for not acting sooner.

Wait, did one MP just compare Genneva to a dead body?
*
He was also comparing Genneva investors to maggots and flies. nod.gif

Found this reply the post regarding Dr M on GMS.

QUOTE
XXXXX XXXX Dr M, because of you many of us brought into Genneva. Now you talking again. After 20+ years as PM, so much corruption that you brought to the country. Thank you.

What the heck is she trying to say? On one hand, she blames Dr. M for the extensive corruption in this country. On the other, many in Genneva were convinced to invest because of him

You would trust someone who you believe is responsible for spreading corruption?

Well, there are indications on the GMS page that something is being planned for tmr. Not sure what though. I'm expecting them to be NATO. If something does happen, well...I happen to work around the BNM area so I'll try to pop over and take some photos.

QUOTE
Shereen Lim
GOD BLESS MALAYSIA
We, the people of Malaysia join Genneva M’sia to add our voice together with honorable Tun Dr Mahathir to urge the Central Bank to lift the assets and account of the Genneva.
We hope that Central bank lead with compassion heart, move with justice to help eradicate our suffering, lift us from our poverty and let us live under laws of fairness. Subsequently, aid our souls who risk everything to secure our rights to have the courage to fight for betterment in life.
God bless Malaysia and all the people in Central Bank.

If there's supposed to be a gathering outside BNM, I don't see it. Auntie Shereen actually had a good idea. Gather up everyone who is free and go line-up at BNM to file a complaint each. No need a permit as it is not officially a gathering. There's nothing illegal about what they are doing either. Yet they are so scared to do something like this. Of course, if they do, BNM investigators might cheerfully invite each of them separately for coffee and a chat. wink.gif

Not much info online but from what I can gather, he is a freelance writer who was formerly with The Star. Good chance that he's also a Genneva customer, hence the usual spiel.

Interesting little article about Genneva for me, if only because this is the first time I've ever heard of the PDI (Power Distance Index)

http://cgmalaysia.blogspot.sg/2012/11/genn...-and-press.html

http://cgmalaysia.blogspot.sg/2012/11/mala...r-distance.html

Whee! We're #1 on some chart. Malaysia boleh!

Hey, more long-winded BS posted on their FB page:

https://www.facebook.com/notes/genneva-mala...296345677149997

I'll save you time. Don't bother reading all of it. Its just the same old crap in more long-winded form. Based on the writing style and grammar, I do believe it to be the work of Auntie Shereen.

There is really no such thing as a leaderless revolution. Yes, public movements do not necessarily need a leader but everybody is going to be watching each other and waiting for someone to make a move before they dare to join in. Its human nature. No matter what, a 'leader' is needed at the start. When I say leader, I don't mean someone who will plan, organize or even lead. Someone has to brave enough to step up and make the first move so that others will follow.

The comparison with Himpunan Hijau makes me laugh. For starters, Wong Tuck stepped up and offered himself as a figure to rally around. The gathering on Sunday might not have been planned by him, but he made the decision to march on foot from Kuantan to Dataran Merdeka in protest of Lynas. This act inspired others to rally around him.

How did the Arab Spring start? One man set himself on fire to protest the abuse he has suffered under the local govt. His death acted as the catalyst to fuel public anger against the corrupt government.

GMS would like to start a revolution against BNM, eh? Who wants to step up? You must be willing to make a personal sacrifice in some way. You don't have to set yourself on fire or anything, but at the very least you must be willing to do something symbolic like Wong Tuck. Hunger strike? No, Pat Lu wants to eat her Japanese food. How about your own march, from say Genneva HQ at Jalan Kuchai Lama to BNM HQ? No, if Pat Lu gets off her butt, it would be to toddle over to a phone shop to buy a Galaxy Note 2.

I thinks she's waiting for some sucker to volunteer. The question is, is anyone dumb or desperate enough?

The statement that it occurs every 824 years isn't even true. October 2011 and March 2014 has 5 Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Every month that has 31 days that starts on Saturday has 5 Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. They don't even check if it's true before sharing this faulty message

The area around BNM is off-limits for public assembly according to the new law, I think. NUBE's protest was a bit of an exception. After all, it would reflect quite badly on BNM if they were to chase off the bank employee's union.

y so much anger towards these people, they took your money is it?

some of us dont hold the gold, my agent already asked me to come to collect the gold the day before the raid, but i was busy that day, and told my agent i want to collect the next day, where bnm took it away..anyway, my company is not genneva, smaller one and dont have any forum to follow up.

yes i agree it is very greedy if you already have the gold but still want to make a big fuss..but some people does not hold anything and very unlucky, like me..i already paid for it, so i want it back..as simple as that...im a law abiding citizen, i agree investigation needs to be done, but it can be done much quicker..

if the authority is really good, why shouldnt they advertise warning on these particular companies in news or media or something, some of them even said these companies are ok..this one suddenly want to come like cowboys and raid everything as though they are above the law.
*
Right now, I have a major reason to be pissed with them. What they are doing now is making a threat that is nothing short of blackmail. They are trying to influence the current govt to resolve this issue in their favor, and they are pulling imaginary numbers out of their butts to show that they have a large base of supporters.

They are cheap political prostitutes. Actually, no. They are worse than prostitutes. At least prostitutes are just trying to earn a living. GMS want to keep living off their scam. This is far worse.

They are threatening to vote for PR in the coming election if the case is not resolved in their favor by than. Although I am a PR supporter, it sickens me to be linked to them like that.

Whoever you vote for in the coming election, it should be with the bigger picture in mind. If you believe in Pakatan's ideals, than vote for them. If you think BN has been doing a good job so far and would like for them to continue, than you vote for them. Your vote will help decide the future of the country. Make it count.

GMS's stance is 'vote for whoever can help me get my gold and hibah back'. That is just...cheap...and selfish.

Whoever wins in the next election, I expect BNM to carry on as normal and for TS Zeti Akhtar Aziz to continue on as governor until she retires. I believe that even PR respects her role as the central bank's governor.

I got a bit of time, so I'm going to address this guy further in a more serious fashion.

QUOTE(rzkb @ Dec 3 2012, 12:43 AM)
I think his source is a bullS*...BNM cannot do that, only court can order a third party to distribute back..

its my fault for not reading the newspapers or checking he BNM websites..i didnt bother since i had no problems all that while, because what i do is just pay and get that gold and enjoy the rebate money, only that day i didnt take the gold sooner.,..i assumed that if they are already registered in SSM as gold trading company is sufficient enough
Correct. Its your fault for not reading the newspapers (well, I don't read them myself but I have other sources of news) and doing your own research. This is the era of the internet. Ignorance is not an acceptable excuse anymore when Google makes it so easy to look things up. Very sorry, but I equate ignorance with laziness. You are ignorant because you are too lazy to learn, and I have no sympathy for lazy people.

QUOTE
bnm and others can perform faster provided enough pressure is applied onto them, plus my gold company is smaller one, so not much to investigate than the giant genneva..as for genneva, 3 years man it was running without intervention and all of a sudden like this...
In my experience, people who complain that a certain job can be performed faster often have no experience in that matter, and thus no idea what the hell they are talking about.

You believe that the investigations can be performed faster, by all means - state exactly how. You will need to do some research on legal procedures and case precedents. Quite simply, put up or shut up. Don't tell me you don't know how. As I've stated earlier, ignorance is not accepted as an excuse. Heck, if you had done this earlier, you would not be caught in this situation now.

QUOTE
yeah, i paid a premium price for it, so basically im paying myself back those monthly rebate..some people can call its stupid, but heck, its my money..so hand over those gold back bnm, i did nothing wrong nor i took anyone's money..in this case, personally i can say BNM robbed my gold.
*
No, you did everything wrong from the start. You were too lazy to do your research. You entrust your money to a company with a dubious background.

BNM didn't rob your gold. Stop holding others responsible for your own actions. You lost it yourself through your ignorance. You have only yourself to blame. Take it as a lesson learnt and move on with your life.

Pat Lu of GMS said "their" Panel of LAWYERS advice ...

Under Civil Law, anyone can bring to the Court of Law a 3rd party claim

- Time (minimum of 3 years and it could just go on for years);
- Cost (Open File costing is between RM10,000 to RM1 Million.(fffuuuuu...) This excludes all other costs that will be incurred)
- Possible Negative Returns (in the event BNM has a positive decision on the investigation and GMSB is back in operations, your claim will continue)

GMS left out a 3rd vital scenario:

3. Genneva Malaysia is a ponzi after all.
What to do in this event has already been stated in this forum several times. Lazy to repeat myself.

Seized documentation has revealed that more than 8,000 customers of the company who have paid for gold have yet to receive their gold amounting to more than 4,000 kilograms. In addition, the records also show that there are customers who have surrendered their gold to the company but have yet to receive their cash reimbursement that amount to more than RM80 million.

So much for GMS's claim that all customers who have purchased gold have it in hand. Shame the figure is only 8000. 1000 more and we can use the dragonball meme joke.

Has anyone linked this up at GMS page yet btw?

Edit: I don't believe this. A quick check on GMS shows that the article has been brought up and they still blame BNM instead of the directors. The brainwash runs deep...

Come on, BNM has already stated that only 126kg of gold was taken from Genneva's premises. The amount owed to customers who have not yet received is > 4000kg. Do the math.

THE MATH: If the courts were to release all 126 kg of gold seized after the proceedings, each investor would probably receive ONLY 3% of gold that they have paid for. Thats 3 sen to 1 ringgit.
*
They also have taken 99.8 million from the company. This might be enough to pay hibah for everyone for the month, but combined with the gold taken, not enough to pay back everyone who is still owed gold.

Where is Andrew Ng? He has fallen strangely silent since BNM came up with figures. I want to see him pull out his economic mumbo-jumbo to explain this away.

It looks like reality is starting to seep into the GMS page now though. That statement from BNM has had a damning effect. More customers are demanding that the directors as well as the senior consultants and the GMS admins to speak up and explain the statement.
