Note 10.1 still use Exynos 4 Quad Cortex A9 Mali-400MP.

Ahh..thanks for the clarification..It seems like this device is really worth looking for..Still mixed up with the A15 being dual-core..I thought it was a quad core..

but the design looks ..... not my cup of tea. The thick side frame make it looks like those kiddie-pad.

design wise, not really appealing.
but the specs that make me
seems like gonna scrap my plan to get the Surface RT for this.

I would say this is the best 10" tablet at the moment.

for specs, nexus 10 is better,
but note 10.1 have S-Pen and microsd slot, also call function.

Maybe they target for kids, rich families. Durable for kids to hold

u will regret getting the RT because non of the old programs are compatible with it. if want, wait for the non RT versions with i5 / i7 processors, they'll be 2 - 3 times more expensive but it's worth it

i think most user will appreciate the thick side bezel.
try holding a tablet to read or watch something with a thin side bezel..
if 7" n below might be ok for thin side bezel.

but.. why doesn't have cellular support..

10 is too big.

7 is the right size.

rumor said samsung working on it, don't think google will forgot cellular support.
just like Nexus 7 first come with Wifi only and now HSPA+ support model also available.

hopefully wont be too late... coz my wife thinking to get a tablet.. currently eyeing on Note 10.1..

isnt it weight a lot.. more than nexus 7

thick frame is actually a good thing. makes it easier to grip.
imagine a boarderless tablet. no way you can hold it.

but after awhile fount it to be more user friendly.

the 3 control buttons are easier to hit. compared to tablet UI cramped at the left side.
besides, having 1 UI for tablet and phone is not bad. similar to iOS.

Especially when you put your tablet in a pouch. Very hard to use back button.

vanilla UI, pure android experience are the best
worth to wait.

yeah, same though. no matter how's the stock on screen or softkeys come with, nexus user always in Flash Flash custom rom rules ton of developers or largest community in Nexus devices. I'm sure any kind of customization/combination modify afterward

In US, 16 GB = $399 & 32GB = $499

Price is less $100 with same memory spec for Ipad

for nexus 7, the 249USd one sold for RM999 here.

google can sell such low price due to profit from play store. (apps,books,magazines,songs,movies)
but only play store for apps open here. and the play store app sales arent doing well here.

check nexus 7 official thread. there is a section "not happy with nexus 7 price?" in the first page.
when nexus 10 sold here, very high chance will mark up abit. hopefully not too much.


ipad sales here are lower than most places, but cover back by extra high iphone sales here.

may i ask how to remove the nav key? if you use expand desktop feature of some custom rom like paranoid android/cm10 or aokp, the notification tray will be remove as well. so how you access your notifications? gestures as well to bring tray down? but then cannot see notifications....

at first i thought of getting ipad mini, but nexus 10 got some serious killer specs

i like nexus 10 pratical and beefy design, bigger bezel means u get better ergonomics when holding the tablet. I cannot brain how ppl wan thin bezel on a 10inch tablet, u gonna get RSI maybe in 1month time.

yeah.. but will there be a support for multi task (like Note 10.1) n stylus/S-Pen?
i dont mind if there is custom rom that can make multi task n support stylus/S-Pen.

now im at a dilemma. contemplating between this and note 10.1. Spec wise definitely nexus 10 wins hands down but note has the S pen thingy and that multitask thing (which i know the nexus 10 can do with some changes). I guess the last thing to see is the price.

Mali T-604s the gpu use in Samsung S3 right? so even Tegra 3 is beat by Mali T-604? hmm that's quite shock...maybe i'm lack of intel...so now i know..hehee...this gpu is use to increase gaming performance right?

My rough estimation for 16GB Nexus 10 when it comes here is RM1499.
After convert should be RM1259, but since here they will markup like the Nexus 7, mostly end up with RM1499.

Samsung S3 still uses the old Mali-400MP.

not sure about Note 10.1 user, but all my friend who using Note phone never fully utilize the S-Pen, not practical for daily usage at all, according to them. Yes, some XDA folks have mentioned before, any device come with 2GB ram, are possible to make it multi task windows support. but I don't think so is ideally or perfect accuracy for S-Pen support, coz Note 10.1 hardware build is double digitizer screen.

refer comment above, beside hardware spec we looking for when purchase, as long as nexus line of device then no worries. any software modify/porting are possible as nexus always have largest community or ton of developers ready. unless consider non-nexus device, the software update/features are only important during purchase, waiting for OTA after sales are pain.

Google PLAY pricing is $399 for 16GB, Malaysia Samsung usually slightly higher than that. let's see how is the official pricing.

I'm buying one directly from states on 12th.. 32gb is the way to go man.. especially without expandable slots.. kinda tough to sync to cloud without 3g connections..

Nexus 10, only dissapointing part is why didn't they use a Quad-core instead of a Dual-core. Those that are found in the SGS3 and Note2. Cmmon Samsung, want to give the best, bloody well do it.

Elo bro, those on sgs3 n note 2 are using a9 chip. This is using a15.

another noob bickering about lack of quad core.

the chip in current quad core is the old chip.
the nexus 10 use new chip in its dual core.

more power efficient and faster.

Just tambah abit abit for the handling and shipping lo. cos they do take up quite abit of space due to the packaging.

that quad core using old architecture which is cortex a9
now latest is cortex a15, and ARM just announce got cortex a50 series, which is a53 and a57

and newer architecture off course better than old 1, and its dual core almost pawn all quad processor
I rather it use exynos 5 dual + mali t604 in s3 and note 2 instead use exynos 4 quad + mali 400

Means N10 dual core is faster than the current quad core. I am sold..

safest way: SME, next year? only wifi version, don't think telco will subsidize until 3G version out.

Logically that means the GPU on the nexus 10 has to work harder to produce the same image....sheesh. You get all flustered and you don't know anything technical yet you shoot people for pointing it out.

RM1399 is for 16GB..which I presume is not sufficient storage. Should get the 32gb instead

looking at the Nexus 4... looks like won't be so cheap when Samsung brings it in... I am mentally prepared it will be around 2k also... Last time galaxy nexus also 2099...
