lol, even android device with dual core 1ghz can play full hd without problem but of cos if that cpu support hardware decoding. with nexus10, it should be support hardware decoding also.

for reading, both excellent but nexus7 might be good since easier to hold.
watching movies, nexus10
for games and performance, nexus10
HDMI for extend to HDTV, nexus10 only as nexus7 didnt hv hdmi port.

if mainly use for presentation, nexus10 would be ideal.

for 1-2ft, both can use but i think for nexus7 u need to show to ur client a bit closer.
