QUOTE(green_algae @ Nov 2 2012, 10:05 AM) all nexus except for nexus one has offical jellybean. htc nexus one has "other" ways of upgrading its os, via custom roms. thanks for the info. i will wait for it and reconsider in between N4 and Note 2. Hopefully price does matter the big different.

it's google phone/tablet. It will always be cheaper. Look at the history of all google nexus product. It has always been cheaper than other brands. I think it part of google's strategy to get more "modder community" to play with their nexus brand.
Logically thinking, google is trying to pass down their expertise to different mobile maker. Look at how they jump with different brand each time they release a brand new model. From HTC to Samsung to Asus to LG. So their idea is two fold. Pass down android making technology or expertise to brand maker and also sell it cheap so that more people adopt their android OS. This has been proven a successful method and you bet they will continue to do so.

why apple can offer us price in malaysia, while LG can't?
this is not fair, if you said got sirim approve, tax, etc... then apple no need passed these process?
usd299 -> around rm900
maybe sell at rm1.2k to rm1.3k, different around rm300 to 400. that is huge margin.
even thought it still cheapest than other brands flagship, i will not consider. because this is call 'cheating'!!

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Nov 1 2012, 03:28 PM) They should be patience. So far only Samsung S3 have received JB upgrades. And recently HTC One X start receiving theirs. Even Samsung Note still haven't receive upgrades. Others will only start by Dec or Jan. All this clearly says 'if you want prompt updates or upgrades..buy a Nexus' According to the ICS Upgrade Schedule LG Mobile made in December, 2011. Their users almost waited a year and still haven't got their ICS update yet. I think might as well skip the ICS and jump to Jelly Bean. This post has been edited by Garena: Nov 2 2012, 11:36 AM

Better straight jump to Nexus 4 in this case..rather than waiting for JB upgrades on your LG phone. Can be waiting another long neck year lolz

Stock update still consider important for most consumers.
