Try press and hold the power button until the tablet is turned off. Then try startup again. If that doesn't work, go into recovery mode and try wiping cache first then wipe everything in worst case scenario

expecting another version of JB soon. My unit has a random reboot and it's pretty much a famous bug on xda. you guys don't have such issue?
I have yet to face such issue since day one on my 16gb n 32gb units and in all the roms I am on Do a factory reset n monitor If it occur again send in to check motherboard issues Another possibility n strong is apps that are malicious eg cracked pirated apps. Delete such apps if you have installed such

this has been reported many times on xda. I don't think it has anything to do with hardware, fingers crossed for that.
and no, I have no cracked apps installed on any of my devices. for the record, I didn't face this when I was on 4.1.2 but after updating to 4.2 via OTA update, this issue arises. I'll be getting my 32GB unit perhaps this week so I could try having 4.2 tested out on a totally new hardware but for now just collecting info regarding this, cause maybe incompatible background apps could cause this so anyone's facing the same issue could share what's running on ur N7 and what not..

Many people report? I don't have such issue in any rom, stock or custom. And any Android version also no random reboot.
U do a factory reset, or re flash the stock Image n setup again La. Maybe a bad flash. Or faulty update.
I think the 4.2 version on the Nexus 7 has a few issues as I've read a handful of reports on this. Definitely will want to switch back to 4.1.2 at the mean time.

Here. Nvm, will keep an eye on this, cause I really don't think it was caused by a bad flash or what, everything's stock, even my recovery is too. Changing ROM often isn't an indicator of nothing's wrong with it btw, it's too random, you don't know when it's gonna happen, it just happens. and it might happen when you don't notice it at all. yesterday I faced no reboot so therefore I'll give a few days for apps dev to catch up to 4.2. probably just be incompatible apps causing it.
