go to www.samfirmware.com, register and search for Malaysia 4.1.1 download the Flash program and the firmware, read the tutorial and you are good to go

Download the firmware from sammobile and flash it via Odin. No need root to do this and it wont effect your binary counter or void your warranty.

Use KIES. If stuck when downloading component, kill KIES task. Then run again. I do like this few times then only success.

Hi, I'm one of S3 user. When I bought this phone around august the battery can last a few day (without using wifi or data packet). Lately I realize this phone can drain the battery from 100% to 15% in half a day (without using wifi or data packet and making call). Is that normal in Android phone. I'm using Icecream sandwich.

Thank You.

You sure not having a fake S3? S3 comes with ICS and you're running gingerbread.

so here's some story about my device ~

> virgin SME unit running ICS 4.0.4
> flashed CF-Root 6.4 -SuperSU+CWM5.5+CWM Manager
> device status: modified > custom binary counts (1)
> flashed WanamLite DLJ4 v4.2.1
> device status: normal > custom binary counts (1)
> flashed Siyah Kernel 1.7rc1
> device status: normal > custom binary counts (1)
> smooth, no lag or whatsoever, speedwise +1
> battery charged about 90% full around 6am & dropped to 15%-18% during midnight
> usage: sms, calls, whatsapp, waze, email, facebook, twitter, music + mv, etc.. (no games)
