For those who're on custom or non-standard Malaysian JB/ICS, you'll keep waiting forever for an OTA, you need to download the ROM from sammobile and use ODIN to update.

QUOTE(wilsonjack228 @ Oct 30 2012, 10:05 AM) after flash using mobile odin , i check software update , it comes out ' your device has been modified , software updates are not avaliable ' Normal if you've rooted your S3 before.. I got the same message when I did OTA yesterday, you can safely ignore the message or root it once again and use Triangle Away to get rid of it. |

For those having a bad battery usage, best advice found on the internet is to run down your battery until the phone turned off by itself and charge it back to full. I'm doing it, hopefully it doesn't make it worst though haha..

CM9 wiki actually recommended running down till your phone turned off, if you're having a bad battery consumption, this shouldn't be done regularly. The reason is for the new battery statistic (recalibration) could be build up when you're running a new ROM.

QUOTE(myasiahobby @ Oct 31 2012, 09:02 PM) Hi, I'm one of S3 user. When I bought this phone around august the battery can last a few day (without using wifi or data packet). Lately I realize this phone can drain the battery from 100% to 15% in half a day (without using wifi or data packet and making call). Is that normal in Android phone. I'm using gingerbread. You sure not having a fake S3? S3 comes with ICS and you're running gingerbread.Thank You. |
