Gonna try to claim warranty for the crack on the silver band.

I'm currently running Poland 4.1 JB stock android + Rooted

Will I still be able to claim warranty?

personally, i'm very delicate with my gadgets. i used to use screen protectors with my phone, until i got frustrated with screen protectors.

I made the jump to using my phone without a screen protector after seeing my friend who has been using is galaxy S2 without a screen protector for more than a year and it is completely scratch free! until now, i have no regrets for leaving my phone naked.

Screen feels silky smooth, clarity is amazing. I don't plan to use screen protectors anymore for my phone

if you're a very careful person, then going without screen protector certainly is alright.

but if you're the type of person who puts his keys in the same pocket as his phone, then it's probably best to go with a screen protector

it really all boils down to whether you are comfortable or not using your phone without screen protector..

looks like malaysian JB coming very very soon judging by sammobile's firmware releases

any difference compared to poland stock JB?

personally i prefer note 2 simply because i'm a fan of massive screens.

the reason why i bought the s3 is because i couldn't wait any longer for a phone upgrade.
I'm sticking with S3 until the day that it dies because i can't afford any new phones anymore

anyway, majority of users here prefer the S3 because the screen is large but it is still usable with one hand.

why not root? it's easy and foolproof

i'm a first time android adopter and this is my first android phone and smartphone.
i came from an old nokia dumbphone.

i was hesitant to root at first, but after looking at how much benefits it has, i decided to root and follow a guide and voila! rooted in 2 minutes!

no regrets

until now i have yet to try custom ROMs or kernels, but i will someday when my phone starts to lag out on me
i've only tried flashing a theme before.. which was scary to me at that time too..

anyway
as long as you follow guides and instructions carefully, theres nothing to worry about

my phone had a hairline crack too.
i went to samsung SC 3 days ago to try to claim warranty, the guy said that i've bought the phone too long ago.
they won't allow me to claim warranty

i noticed the crack one week after getting the phone, which was like 3 months ago.

i went to samsung SC, the guy told me that i should have brought it over 3 months ago and all that nonsense..

really? but the guy keeps insisting that i should have brought it back 3months ago.
i keep telling him that i noticed it right out of the box. he said that cannot claim warranty, but instead can only give discount for LCD/housing change

i went there too.

my phone is perfectly fine. just that small crack there that the guy refuse to let me claim warranty.

i need advice on what to say and what to do when i go there again next time

if i go claim warranty and i'm rooted, how do they check for root?

do they look for superSU? or look under settings > About?
