Booked my mirage one week ago.  rclxm9.gif
SA told me I'll need to wait 2-3weeks for the car to arrive.
but now he says end of Jan 13 only can get.

any comment on Ron 95/ Ron 97?
*
Check my previous post, I got 4.5L/100km on Ron95 shell. Never try Ron97, cause I doubt it will save fuel despite it sky high price.

My 1st service is at Bkt Mertajam. Service not bad, 1 hour waiting cause no appointment. When I parked my car there look so funny, all other car beside me is Triton or Pajero, made my car so tiny.

The picture shown is the recommended oil from the center.

Not really, US consumers are becoming more conscious about rising fuel prices as well, that's why a lot of compacts and sub-compacts are doing well there. The Mirage selling point of great fuel economy plays to that trend, it's just a matter of how Mitsu plans to market and price it against it's rivals since Mitsu cars aren't exactly selling well there right now, in fact there have been rumors that they might follow the footsteps of Suzuki hmm.gif

want to ask something abt proton's CVT or any other CVT
when u stopped @ traffic light pressing the brake(fully)...no change to N, still in D
will the CVT stop itself?
my meaning of stop itself mean that even if u release the brake pedal slowly...it won't even move(as if its in N)
cuz the mirage CVT...when fully stop at traffic light...when i release 80-90% of the brake pedal...it still doesn't move
it will only start moving after i fully release the brake

Aiseh..free ipod finished already...SA told by the time i bought mine, already around 4k..
Normal coil mat, the one you can find in acc shops...but color really suits my grey mica..

I saw many ppl complain about the sucking customer service, no complain about the car itself arr?
My SA very excellent, polish my car himself until sweating all over and sent back car to tinted shop because he found some air bubbles when i came to pick up my car..
He even sms me reminding me for my 1000km free service..

Haha I didn't pay attention to this so I can't remember, I'll see if I can get any FLX CVT owners to answer you.

I do know the Fiesta's clutch will move the car even if the brake pedal is not 100% released.

yeah...know that...my saga 4AT as long as its still in D
the gear will constantly move...u release abit of the brake pedal also it will move
this i think they did something to it...that once u press like "certain amount" of second of the brake after fully stop...the gearbox seem stopped automatically
even i released 90% of the brake pedal...nothing happen..no movement..only when i fully release it...only it will move
something like AS&G but this is gearbox

QUOTE(blau-saga @ Dec 29 2012, 09:53 PM)
from my observation, at least the clutch will be released slowly even if u fully release the brake or not, that's without pressing accel, for certain angle of slope it will hold the car still
*
QUOTE(BahWanG @ Dec 29 2012, 10:10 PM)
Saga one the moment you release brake, it will start creeping instantly if the car is on a flat road.. On upwards slope, it will rollback a bit before the creeping function gains full power to creep the car upwards. Downwards slope, no need to say la. use logic. lol

release a bit of brakes = creep slower lo.

On a side note, never let the car to creep upwards without any throttle. Doing so will grant you a toasted clutch.

BTW, were you on a flat ground? will it roll backwards on a slope if you release the brakes to 80-90%?

finally, found this thread. I own mirage for 1 month already.

want to ask, did you all ever encounter the miss start? mean when u press pedal and push start, the engine will not start but the starter keep rotating. So, need to push the start button again to turn off it.

Mine full tank can go up to 540km, daily travel 60km. 30km mostly jem.
Average without jem can go 24km/l, and with jem 16km/l. Worst jem i ever encounter for ~20km is 12km/l.

One more thing, the icon for seatbelt is for decoration only? not functioning right?

1. I faced this too but only if I forgot to turned off the aircond or radio before I turned off the engine. So before I start the engine, press the start button without step on the brakes, check if the radio & aircond are tuned off? If yes then only I start.. till today, not happening again.

2. No wiring at the seatbelts buckle's lock, so no lights on the icon.. they removed it for Malaysian version. If u looked carefully there is also Auto Cruise icon..

oic, i didnt notice it because of radio/aircon. normally i will not turn off both. So, i will try it next later.

Edit:
Did anyone notice that the head lamp light is a "L" display. A bit high on the left side and lower at the light side for both lamp.

Did anyone find the door step panel for mirage? Too bad I didnt take the accessories and wanna search for the panel only.

There will be differences on how they work, Proton's CVT is clutch-based whereas Mirage's is torque converter based. The clutch will open when the brake is pressed, but the torque converter is always connected unless it is in N or P.

I don't know why the Mirage won't move without the brakes fully released, maybe the brakes work like N and disconnects the gearbox from the torque converter to save fuel. hmm.gif and when the brakes are released, it shifts back into D sweat.gif
