Pretty sure its not even the biggest in Malaysia otherwise TGV themselves would have been bragging about it. I'm no expert so I'm not sure exactly how you tell whether it's real IMAX or not but if you've seen IMAX in any one of TGV cinemas and thought that it's fake, then it's the same thing at i-city.

It's indeed is the biggest in Malaysia as said by TGV in the picture in a comment on facebook, not sure why TGV havent been bragging about it.

went there yesterday for shazam.

never been to any other TGV IMAX before,
but
definitely bigger than MBO bigscreen starling and GSC MAXX IOI putrajaya.

all is great, audio and video is good.

its digital IMAX BTW which mean LIEMAX.

then i peek at the ONYX hall after my show end,
and i can say onyx is better than IMAX, for shazam.
though screen is significantly smaller even compared to the normal hall there.

Thanks for the info. Quite disappointed to know our country still did not have a true imax theatre nevertheless still appreciate digital IMAX which still give awesome mindblowing experience. Would definitely watch endgame there

Surprising that TGV is not bragging about their biggest IMAX screen since everyone's been complaining that our IMAX screen is smaller than the real thing. If it's bigger than the one at MBO Starling then it must be pretty huge. The last time I checked MBO Big Screen Starling has the second biggest screen here while GSC MAXX at MyTown has the biggest.

Definitely IMAX since the movie was shot 100% in IMAX camera. I watch IW last year in GSC Maxx and IMAX TGV and the experience watching it in IMAX was incredible and very immersive. Not sure about bigscreen and ONYX tho, but pretty sure it will be almost the same as Gsc Maxx with ONYX having crispier image quality.

Tracking to be the biggest pre-sales in history, biggest opening of all time and what not, Avengers Endgame is the real deal for the box office. It simply is the movie event of the year!  rclxm9.gif
So definitely have to watch in the best cinema hall in Malaysia. Now lets clear up all the fuss and muss. Avengers Infinity War and Endgame are the only movies in history till date to be shot 100% on IMAX cameras, making IMAX the 1st choice, no questions asked!
  Check It Out!!
So which IMAX to choose?
Seeing that the Digital IMAX is the only way for Malaysians, my guess is that the newer IMAX branches might be the better choices to go to. Cleaner screen, newer equipment, better environment. I've got my tickets for Endgame @ TGV IMAX Central i-City in IMAX 3D  Although the other IMAX will still be a good spot for it regardless. To those who wants exclusivity/premium feel, get the IMAX Indulge seats at Sunway Velocity.
IMAX 2D or IMAX 3D?
Last year I watched Infinity War in IMAX 3D @ TGV 1 Utama. I was impressed with IMAX as usual, but not for its 3D presentation, which depends on the movie actually. IMAX 2D would have been equally good, or better for me. Considering the fact that Endgame runs for more than 3 hours, I'm not sure if 3D will be the better option if you are prone to headaches and discomfort. Given the choice I would have preferred the 2D option for Endgame. Unfortunately, TGV has more 3D showtimes to capitalize on the hype  laugh.gif Next time you guys wanna watch a 3D movie, keep track on this site as they suggest movies to be watched in 2D or 3D: https://www.cinemablend.com/3d/
Best non-IMAX option?
Go with BigScreen or Maxx Halls. How far wrong can you go? These halls are already equipped with Dolby ATMOS as well.
Premium halls?
As I have suggested, the Indulge seats in IMAX are your best bets, don't think twice. The rest of the premium halls (Gold Class, Premiere Class, LUXE) will come with a smaller screen and sound. Suitable for those who truly desire comfort and exclusivity over big halls with the masses. Choice is yours smile.gif
Don't care about which cinema hall or tickets sold out?
Well, the least you can do is get to the biggest hall of your nearby cinema that you know is reliable and consistent.
Good luck on scoring Endgame tixs on the opening Wednesday night  thumbup.gif

I'm guessing any 10 rows from the back (center seating) will be good! I prefer it into my face so for me, the 8th to 12th row from back is ideal. I'm judging this based on the IMAX I've been to 1U, Sunway Pyramid, Velocity and Gurney Paragon only tongue.gif
