I just got my 1.6 a couple of months back. One way to Singapore used only 1/2 tank, which I thought was pretty good. I got mine from Avant motor (heard some bad news about the place, but my dealing was ok). RM2k discount, crystal plates, full tank, and reverse camera. They also offered free leather seats upgrade (apparently it's not the same as the RM2.5K upgrade option that shown in the price list, must be a cheap-o alternative).

I got my last batch of CBU M3 early last year. Graphite mica. Clocked 36k mileage now. FC 9.2L/100 km according to the monitor. No rattling sounds, no tire sounds, am very happy about the car. Only downside is the NVH which is not so brilliant. Loved the looks, enjoyed the ride. How's the CKD batch?

CKD batch.. hmm lets see.. rattling, road noise.. bumpy. Other than that. Its all good.. handsome car, sleek look and head turner. smile.gif

Hello everybody. I have a question regarding the AUX input for mazda 3. May I know how to use this ? Can I buy THIS cable to connect to my USB stick and play music from there ?

Answers will be much appreciated

What headunit are you having in ur ride? If its Caska u should have an iPod cable and USB cable installed right?
If its the oem headunit, I think I have seen ppl selling USB in cable which connects to the back of your headunit.

Photo below is how my iPod n USB cable looks like (caska headunit), hope this helps.
Not too sure about the USB-female 3.5 works and the sound quality of it.

The AUX input is an audio input and I don't think there is a device today that can allow the reading of USB sticks. I connect my iPod using the AUX input to listen to my music. There is a good seller on lowyat who sold me a new AUX cable that makes my music sound super clear. If you need this contact, let me know and I will PM you.

Added on November 6, 2012, 9:32 amHi all...

I have a few minor issues with my M3 2.0 SDN which I think is rather weird...

1) The annoying knocking sound that is coming from the back... has anyone figured it out if it is the (a)windscreen (b)seat/seatbelt and/or © rear headrest?

2) The auto-headlamp... For some reason my lamp is on in the morning at 8am when the sun is shining bright... and sometimes when the weather is a bit cloudy and about to rain, it does NOT come on... I am going crazy trying to figure it out that nowadays I have to manual turn on the light if I need it. After 6-7pm no issues as the sensor can pick up that it is getting dark. Does anyone know what could be the issue or if you have consulted a service centre and foudn out the problem?

Thanks in advance to all... and congratz on v4...

Anyone of you guys have bent rims and fixed them? It's weird that every time when I send my car for alignment and balancing, the technician will tell me that some of my rims are bent and need to be repaired. I'm using stock 17" CKD rims by the way.

1st time alignment and balancing- one rim was bent.

2nd time- another one rim was bent

3rd time, yesterday- technician told me all four rims are bent shocking.gif

It cost around RM70-90 to fix one rim depending on how badly the rim is bent.

Seeking advice with the technician, he told me that the CKD 17" rims are JRD brand, which is made in Malaysia. It's more fragile and tends to bend easily even with hitting small pot holes hmm.gif

Another reason for the tendency to bend is the lower profile tires. The tires are too thin to provide protection to the rims. In return, I asked, if 45 profile is thin then how about BMWs who mostly use tires with even lower profiles like 35? The technician then answered me: "Yes, they memang bend a lot... but BMW owners are rich." WTF sweat.gif

Am considering changing to 18" rims but the technician warned me despite the rims are tougher compared to stock 17" JRD rims, there are still high chances that the rims will get bend rolleyes.gif In fact, he said most customers that went for alignment and balancing in his shop will have bent rims that need to be repaired.... I am starting to think that opening a rims and tires shop is a good business tongue.gif

My question here is, any members here have the same experience as me? Send your car for alignment and balancing and you are informed that you need to fix the bent rims EVERY TIME? Just want to know whether this is a normal thing or is it just me with bad driving skills and love for pot holes
sad.gif
