Anyone of you guys have bent rims and fixed them? It's weird that every time when I send my car for alignment and balancing, the technician will tell me that some of my rims are bent. I'm using stock 17" CKD rims by the way.

1st time alignment and balancing- one rim was bent.

2nd time- another one rim was bent

3rd time, yesterday- technician told me all four rims are bent

It cost around RM70-90 to fix one rim depending on how badly the rim is bent.

Seeking advice with the technician, he told me that the CKD 17" rims are JRD brand, which is made in Malaysia. It's more fragile and tends to bend easily even with hitting small pot holes

Another reason for the tendency to bend is the lower profile tyres. The tires are too thin to provide protection to the rims. In return, I asked, if 45 profile is thin then how about BMWs who mostly use tires with even lower profiles like 35? The technician then answered me: "Yes, they memang bend a lot... but BMW owners are rich." WTF

Am considering changing to 18" rims but the technician warned me despite the rims are tougher compared to stock 17" JRD rims, there are still high chances that the rims will get bend  In fact, he said most customers that went for alignment and balancing in his shop will have bent rims that need to be repaired.... I am starting to think that opening a rims and tires shop is a good business

My question here is, any members here have the same experience as me? Send your car for alignment and balancing and you are informed that you need to fix the bend rims EVERY TIME? Just want to know whether this is a normal thing or is it just me with bad driving skills and love for pot holes

what is the price for 2nd hand like? issit wise to take the 2nd hand?

Hiya everyone, I got my Mazda 3 1.6 hatchback CKD June last year. It is the model before the current facelift. Just done my 10K service. Here is the problem I noticed with my car:

1. Tick tick tick sound heard randomly from the front passenger side especially on bumpy roads and on slow speed (20-60km/h). Complained to SC. They checked but the problem still persists.

2. Minor noise from the driver's door near the door handle area. Gonna ask them to check in the next service.

3. Noise from the back. I checked myself it was because the 3rd brake light cover is not completely clicked-in. It looked like it is secured but it's not. Need to press very hard until the click sound is heard. After this, the noise is gone. Suspect is the tint shop didn't secure it properly.

4. Front absorber/suspension has the nyek nyek sound when going through the bumper. The last SC said the absorber has leakage. It was under warranty and they changed it for me with no charge. But they didn't give me to sign anything after changing it. The nyek nyek sounds are still there. Going to bring it to anoother SC to check again.

5. The gearbox - sometimes in D mode when changing gear 1 to 2 it has this what sounds like a brisk drumming sound. Gonna send in the SC and ask them to check the gearbox.

My questions are:
Has anyone experienced #5 and what are the solutions if you have fixed it.

For #4, do you guys experience the nyek nyek sound from the front absorber/suspension? Or is it normal?

Just drive for M3 2.0 for 1 week.
Major problem is road noise and high FC.
Is the road noise is come from the MC5 tyre?
Any good comfort and silent tyre to replace?
Current FC is around 13L/100km?
I think it is high. Will it improve after first service or how should I improve it? Just use for 100km++ till now with short distance.

where did you buy the tyres and how much? i tried a few shop in ipoh but none got Yokohama Advan DB.
