QUOTE(antzz @ Jan 4 2013, 12:49 PM) U house Ropes in a different tank right? How do they differ from senegalus, esp in behaviours? Ever think of letting go one of them, maybe? They're with the polys.Rope very delicate. Not as hardy as polys. One died last week. Now left two. Contact Arare if u want rope |

I used 2ft x 1.8ft tank, 60 pieces can have daily casualties even with air pump and filter. Water level is high also.
Now i lazy. Those feeders just gave my birchirs worms. And the best part is, i have not headed to Ipoh town major LFS for quality de-lice medication. While waiting for Monday to come, i just feed Saki Hikari. |

Kakarocht,
Try to maintain low water. I did that. And only making sure the filter pump is submerged. And top, i put lotsa floating plants. So birchirs wont jump since they know they can hide. |

just lost the last 2 ropes. so sad.
Next time i'm not gonna comm them with others. Will just do a rope fish tank so the bioloads won't be too high. Overall total lost of 5 ropes in 2013. == |

Mastacembelus erythrotaenia?post picture
I already have some of ur waiting list fish: moke and buettikoferi,Royal Knifefish ,ansorgii, weeksi and teugelsi Alcip, Birchir/polypterus is primitive sp Rope fish about a foot long. very sensitive to water parameter. mine dont jump tank but all kena poison by bio loads. My advice, keep ropes in another tank. Don't comm. Keep the bioloads very low, and ph very stable. Once they contract the "white feathery" disease, thy're goners. |
