My oscar chased my royal (thats bigger) whole day.
Even when the water is cloudy like jerebu (during medication treatment). So i re home the royal to 2nd floor (top tank only). Only get to see him in action when living room's lights off |

QUOTE(kakarocht @ Nov 26 2012, 09:43 PM) powderful is depending on your setup and your pump as well. since you're using 4 feet aquarium just get 4 tier will do size depends on you whether you wan s,m,l,xl or xxl. the 4 tier is depends on you where you wan to put either top of the aquarium or side. if top make sure you measure properly b4 buying the 4 tier if you put the centre cos i sked the load only dunno your aquarium can hold the load or not if put the top centre. Whats the design is put to the side?If my trickle filter just use foams, might be ok. Now need to discard the blue cover. So, have to think of diy cover to prevent kamikaze birchirs and cichlid. |

QUOTE(kakarocht @ Nov 27 2012, 11:56 AM) for filteration you need to take the measurement for the 4/3 tier (length and width) in order to put on top of it. for the cover itself have no idea actually but depends on your preference what you want whether to put plain type of glass/arkelic to cover on top of it. After installing the filter then can see and plan lor?I can't imagine like you |

QUOTE(kakarocht @ Nov 27 2012, 12:44 PM) no need all you can do it get proper measurements and ask the carpenter to do it. from there you can know what you want actually. better still used your imagination on the layout if you wan to design using the woods types.. Still thinking..of course lar..lack of common sense The frame itself is broader so meaning the wood is standing on the glass itself? Added on November 27, 2012, 2:13 pmbetulkah you sell your diy canister to me? Or i also need to buy direct from China? This post has been edited by genielee_83: Nov 27 2012, 02:13 PM |

QUOTE(kakarocht @ Nov 27 2012, 04:27 PM) yup. if you refer the redtube itself it is standing type. the diy canister i made is for fun only la. so far has no problem for the issues such as leaking lo. just the matters of preference requirement -> If my lower tank needs a filter by its side. Not top not bottom..what filter will it be?-> tank size -> types of media (sponge, bio balls etc) -> size and measurement of the filter (3 tier/4 tier/ 5 tier) also depends on your media filter as well - the more media filters you put the more tiers you need hence i worry your filter is like bungalow house so you need to used the chair to check or changed the filters. -> you need to measure your tank (from the centre itself in order to put the canister). Don't worry the cannister is very the light nia without the media filters not like Eheim which is very heavy without media filters. -> you need to check your submersible pump also whether can used/support pvc types or not. Don't worry most of the submersible pump do support pvc which already comes with pvc head unless you're using the power head (cheap type) then need to burn the pvc in order to stick it. -> mine is not suitable your tanks cos i do is for 2-3 feet aquarium actually cos is medium size. Canister on the floor or on a stool or on a chair? |

QUOTE(kakarocht @ Nov 27 2012, 09:40 PM) stool or chair will do. just like i did for my 3 tier. but make sure your pump is strong enough must used the submersible pump where the nozzle is pointing from top. then problems solved.Just have two trickles. (top tank) just put like usual. (bottom tank) Filter sits on stool. The nozzle pointing from top is the ugly looking pump like the one you posted tadi? Then i need to get two since my current is just side nozzle |

I saw u hv many fat bichirs. Soon, will starve them to pellet train. If no food is available, anything that fits the mouth will be food. So just try and be patient. |

QUOTE(antzz @ Dec 19 2012, 11:18 AM) Mind to share ur experience with Ropes? I saw u have a few of them. I have plants attached with suction cups by the wall.My ornate very shy one, i never had any chance to get a still picture of him. But an amazing creature indeed, a lot more energetic than endlicheri. Ropes and albinos love to bersantai there. I have three and they stay together as a pack. Never seen them in action, coz their ropes-in-dark. |
