Thanks for ur kindness. Too bad we're far, if not i might grab the offer before u could think twice laugh.gif  Actually i was thinking to put wild kiambang & teratai-like plants into turtle tank, but very lazy to get them. I think of wild keladi (like in pic) as well, but scared it will cause bad effect to my turtle, what do u think?

Keladi type plant if close to asap or heat will emit poisonous gas. smile.gif

Oscar is a fast grower. I had mine and in a few month he's very big. No more baby, docile oscar. He's a black mean oscar. Even a royal knife double his side got attacked.

Oscar is very territorial. So de-com it from ur tiny 3ft after a few months' time

If i have a chance to keep aros, i'll try aggressive type.
Last time i googled a few rarer species. I do not like "show" aros.
Not enough oomph

Lol ofcourse lah crush mati.i mean risk of crush cause no 'fragile' label. Haha ok2 test with feeder fish. But this kind of fish survived millennium dy, simple rolling over in small container cant survive meh? Hahaha biggrin.gif

Usually fish is packed individually. And then packed in a poly box. The empty spaces will stuff with dry ice
to keep the temperature down.
Mine survived 2 days. If the van is under the sun and the driver went for a break sure the fish will get steamed.
I believed usual 2D1N trip won't kill the fish if the fish is properly starved and packed.

when u asked bout pima in a 3ft for how long, meaning u had not done u homework. Try google for forums. And learn what others said and tried.
Pima is real monster, and u need really big pond to keep urs.
Ask bro Pimpin, he has many huge ponds with mega monsters.
I like pima, but i know unless it's land fish( which is impossible), i don't have place for it.

Hi, I need a little advice. I'm planning to keep my lungfish in the garden or at least somewhere outdoors.

It's 2 ft ++ long and I am planning to put it into a fibreglass tank.

How do I deal with the lungfish's heavy bioload? It produces cat size poop and if I don't scoop it out on time, the water goes cloudy and smells foul. I am currently using a top filter, and it doesn't seem to get the job done. The tank doesn't allow sump filtration and when I move it to the garden, it would call for a top filtration as well.

I currently carry out full water changes every two weeks, and it's not very economical for a 3ft tank. Also, it's really troublesome and time consuming.

Anyone here with lungfishes? Please do advice.

hi, once i saw a member talked about using the blue tong to diy as canister filter.
I think it might work in your case.
Or u try drill holes like discus tank, then with a flick of your fingers, it wc.
Once from you-tube, i saw a farm just turn on the knob and water gushing out from below. Then another water source gushing in from top.
It took only minutes. flex.gif

Bros and sis,

Wana ask ya, If we have a SUMP we no need to change water or wash the filter inside for years to come?

IS that true. Since somebody asking bout it too~

Thanks for your input.
*
i dont know bout the washing part. But i do know the inlet and the sponge will get
very clogged. And need to be wash with aquarium water.
What i fear most is the water is not cycled well then the poop poop smell will be overwhelming.
Thus giving us the " cancerous" air
