Can differentiate Arapaima male or female at that size (5")?

sori..i cant,even big size also i dunno which male n female...all look same

I can't tell if it's a male or female but I've only had four in total with one surviving - one died due to infection while the other two died as babies. Supposedly those under 12" in length are more susceptible.

That being said, Arapaimas under 5ft aren't quite sexually mature so does it matter if male or female? Now that I've gotten Stage 1 of my wedding settled last weekend can finally focus on hobbies as 'pokai' stage is almost over LOL.

Hope to FINALLY start rebuilding collection but 5" Arapaimas a bit small and doubt they will go for pellets. Anyway will post pictures of new developments which should see new and improved pond along with other stuff. After honeymoon lah will share more.
