apparently, i do. lol
anyways, if i were in your shoes, i won't go for bling bling keyboards due to:

- not easy to find keycaps specialized for backlit keyboards
- from my past experience with backlit keyboards, famous gaming brands fails. (you don't really want to know why)
- claimed to be gaming keyboards, but in reality, just a backlit mechanical keyboard. some with macros.
- price of backlit keyboards > non-backlit. I'm a cheapskate.
- I don't really see why i need the lights when i don't even look at my keyboard when i'm typing.
- more.
*
im not looking at gaming boards specifically actually its just that they so happen to be backlit blue mech boards...and most gaming brand boards are backlit.

...I just read it in a forum i'm just looking into any backlit keyboard see if it's sold here and ask suggestions. Do you have a problem with me just trying to expand my choices if possible??? When you go buy car, you dont just look at one brand/maker right?
*
woah there.. dont go all berserk on me man.. it's just a "word of advice", it's not like im forcing you or anything.. chillax bro sweat.gif

Typical end users seem to buy the most bling keyboard with built in LCD, back light, macro and etc. sad.gif

Hey you gotta admit that Logitech g series keyboards were the hottest stuff before mechanical keyboards came back to the market. Then there is Steel series and Razer. Only people who'd done messing with these stuff would go back to classic, solidly built, no gimmick, mechanical keyboard. Gotta give these guys a break too laugh.gif market transition doesn't happen overnight hehe.

On a side note, what are the shops that people hope to see more mechanical keyboard being available? Doesn't seem like there are too many stores knowing how to sell them or have demo. It's kinda sad

Any experienced user here can share a thing or two about lubing Cherry style stabilizer (satellite switch)?
*
I lubed some Cherry switches (sliders + springs) and stabilizers with Krytox GPL 205 grease yesterday: http://goo.gl/dzkjv

user posted image

I used a very small paint brush to apply the Krytox. The switches are now super smooth.

These are not Cherry switches. They are made to "replicate" it only.
*
do they able to give the same feel as cherry red?

or they prone to break?

They are made by "Kai Hua", "kailh switch" to be exact. Some who own Rapoo V1 say that they broke the stem on it.

Oh thank you for sharing this.
Which part exactly on the stabilizer did you apply the lube? Is it the plastic hook that holds the metal wire?

Also, is it easy to reach for the friction point that we need to lubricate if the keyboard is plate mounted? hmm.gif

Kesien.
Get well soon bro.

Keyboardstory quoting $17 for shipping 1 set, $50 for more than 1 set. So if anything, have to group buy liao. Even buying 1 set, the shipping cost is higher than normal.

I use Tri-Color as my NumLock which is rarely used (at most once a month). The sun have turned it yellowish like real bones.

I strongly believe it will wear and tear much faster than ABS.
