Wah, this is very very helpfull! Gonna try this weeknd n see the difference
Now how do i teach wifu bout this.....
for wifu, just stick to full cvt, easier. Using sat, u need to control ur right foot, need to learn at which low rpm did it shift to the higher gear for each gear(normally the same each gear). Mind u, 1.3 n 1.6 has diff torque at low speed, using sat really fully used the torque based ecu to calculate how much torque needed. U can feel a bit bog down of power which make u want to push more. When u push more it will shift to lower gear. So, need to be patient. Just take advantage on 6th gear which u could lower the engine rpm, by stepping of gas. when reaching speed around 70@maybe 65kmh if u gentle enough. For 1.3, remember, if its not generate enough torque, it will downshift@stay at the same gear. Need to learn the pattern for each gear. Then u will get a better result. Note:if u learn the shifting pattern, then u know how much constant pressure to the throttle point need for it to shift gear, but of course from stagnant need to press gently b4 reaching the contant pressure point. This actually applied to any at@even dct economic driving.
As mentioned earlier, for wifu, full cvt easier coz this need practice.
pad will change to rapidstop.... if wallet allow...

not sure wor..haha.... need to check only know...if not castrol brake fluid...
Added on October 18, 2012, 9:30 pmbtw our car is DOT 3, 4 or 5?
I've consulted magician last time regarding DOT5. According to magician, higher grade DOT brake fluid, their boiling point higher, and ofcourse higher pressure applied. So, in consideration if you're those type of driver who constantly boils your DOT4, changing to DOT 5 may not solve your problem, terbaliknya get worsen. From what I understand from magician, DOT3 normally is red color, and DOT4 is yellow color. Nonetheless, both these type of brake fluids are made from the same oil base, boiling point should differ between 30'C only. Say for example DOT3 boils at 100'C, then DOT4 boils at 130'C(I do not know the actual boiling point, but thats according to magician). But then hor, from DOT3 to DOT5, the range differs up to 60'C boiling point. And according to magician, DOT5 was using something alien(he also dunno what base is it). The only customer he experienced, brought 3 bottles of DOT5 for him to change in a Satey, next day came back with a ruptured brake hose So, upgrading brake fluid may affect your brake servo, brake lines and flexi hose. Worst case, it may explode your drumbrake cylinder
The above was NOT my personal knowledge nor experience. The highest DOT brake fluid I've experienced was DOT4 and have no problem with my cars so far.

DOT 5 is silicone base whereas DOT 3, 4 and 5.1 is Glycol based. DOT 3, 4 and 5.1 can be mixed, but DOT 5 cannot be mixed with other DOT fluids.
You magician's customer who broke his brakes I suspect is due to improper flushing of the brake system or did not flush it at all, and mixed the DOT 5 fluid with existing non-DOT 5 fluids.
Also, DOT 5 fluid does not work well with ABS systems.
