The S-Pen is useless actually. More like marketing gimmick.

Yeah I like the size of the iPhone 5 but sometimes Apple needs to understand that the design has been the same for years. Its boring. Maybe iPhone 6 will be a revamped version and probably a new design will convince me to go back to iOS.

Yeah actually i also dont know how many time i had pull out the pen before. Pull out oso show friend only. Airview? come on you dont need that stuff.

i don't have the note 2, but i wonder how good the pen feature is. here is my requirement:

i always have problem jotting down a note while talking on the phone. what would happen is i would find the "notes" app and jot down while talking. the problem is
1. the note app takes time to access. first i have to press the home key, then the notes app. 2 steps which takes about 5 seconds. 5 secs is a long time when the info is already in your head.
2. the note app can't write so well coz of my big fingers. i write a few letters and it already fills the whole screen. i know can scroll and such, but i want to at least write a house address without the need of scrolling.
3. btw, the note 2 automatically turn on loud speaker when u open the note? coz sometimes i go to the notes and realise i am not on loud speaker. so i have to go back to the phone app to turn it on. spoils the experience.

i wonder if note 2 solves the above prob.

While on the phone pull out the S-pen the S Note will pop up. Nothing need to be done.

Writing in the note app is meant for using S pen not ur finger IMO. Besides i think you can change the brush size or you can type it instead of sketch it.

Do you even know what you are talking about?

I was talking about design not interface. Since when I said anything about iOS being dull and I like Android's interface? Learn to read properly before you start talking please.

Airview? Hell I dont even use it. Lol.

Actually I love iTunes. Managed my music well, so organized. Now my music library looks messy and the songs are pretty much in a mess because Android dont have a proper music manager. And yes I agree even for backup, iTunes still the best.

yeah. that sucks. but actually got software that does that for u. titanium backup is the most popular. but nothing like built into the OS. but if i not mistaken not all is backed up by itunes. it depends on the app. some app don't "subscribe" to icloud don't get backed up too. is it true?

Below are all my personal opinion

I like the screen size, i like their widgets - but too big for me for my daily pocket

I dont like the way android works when alerts come and it is inside the notification centre where all the notifications are grouped according to apps. For iOS, when a message comes, you activate the screen you will see the message and its content. In android you dont, you have to bring down the notification to see it. Take whatsapp for example, in iOS locked screen you can read all the messages without unlocking the phone. For android, you have to bring down the noti center, then tap on the Whatsapp (19 messages), only than it launches whatsapp for you. I work in mobile portal personalization and all these extra taps on the screen is tedious for mobile users. Lesser taps to get to where you want is the best design.

iPhone keyboard does not lag as much as android's. Yes you can say we can download custom keyboards (free and paid) from Playstore which might be able to provide you with better experience but iOS comes with a default free keyboard which i can type faster.

Android users might not like what i said but they have their own view on these matters.

so all in all, it depends on what you want to achieve with the OS.

Hmm on your first part i think you need to activate the message preview from whatsapp. Same goes to other messaging apps. If you turn on the message preview then you will get what you want from iOS as above mention. On the 2nd part about the keyboard i agree with you. The predictive keyboard sucks. I always typo... doh.gif

I tried the swiftkey & it seems impressive at first but I would stick to the old QWERTY style of typing. Nothing beats tapping the keyboard with 'tap tap tap' sound biggrin.gif

Android got swiftkey ma.

But iPhone's keyboard are more responsive, maybe I'm used to it. Keep getting typos on my Note 2 when typing fast sweat.gif

Ask an average Android user on what's the difference between Note and Note 2.

You'll get the very same reaction on erm erm erm (need to think longer than decide which fast food menu).

Most of them do also agree that Note 2 is just a long version of Note. Yup, that's right folks. Funny thing is that last time uninformed people are also saying the very same thing for iPhone 4S - iPhone 5 comparison.
Well, my point is that, people can just say anything, but that's not necessarily accurate. Even missed the mark most of time. So that's inappropriate as an arguement though. No need to have a hostile way of thinking.

Or maybe, next time you want to argue why choose a van over a small lorry. Both got 4 tyres too.
yea, note 2 is just the same old note 1, except it's a real RGB amoled (non-pentile), 2 GB of RAM, a quad core, 3100mAh battery, jelly bean android OS.

polls make forum community interesting, and also it's reflects something that's unpredictable thinking as an individual.

i know about that preview but it is not as refined as iOS

and what i said earlier is when you activate the screen, you see a list of msges in iOS. in android you dont.

swiftkey got the tap sound also... anywhere swiftkey knows what you want to type even before you press the keys.. e.g. your address, you company name, you phone number,

best AI keyboard is swiftkey, learns the way you type, if let me choose between Siri or Swiftkey, my choice would be Swiftkey...

For many example, the rule is, you need to type it correctly at the first time, then bamp....

e.g. you type Wilayah, you will get Persekututan, Kuala, Lumpur

e.g. you type 016, you will get 016XXXXXXX

etc....
