hor hor... mod not doing job ... close one eye tongue.gif

Anyway, which specific rule broken ? hmm.gif

-----
BTW, I think it's better to stop the nonsense of "I have HKD1800 or USD150 or IDR300,000 , etc. balance left, who wanna exchange thing"

My advise is, is it worth for the buyer/seller to meet up to deal ? Drive all the way ? Waste petrol ? time ? parking ?
How much can save for that small balance amount for buyer/seller ?

If put too low, I'm sure seller can just sell back to money changer.
Or will buyer / seller trust each another to bank-in first before courier ? AFAIK, not safe to courier money.

Just to add... let's take example on USD<>MYR rate.

Selling 1.00000 USD
you get 3.04 MYR
Buying 1.00000 USD
you pay 3.06 MYR

Middle rate = 3.05

For USD150 leftover, that's
a) 3.04 = RM456
b) 3.05 = RM457.5
c) 3.06 = RM459

Difference of RM1.50 for buy/sell at middle rate doh.gif

Ok, let's take bigger rate diff, like
a) 3.02 = RM453
b) 3.05 = RM457.5
c) 3.08 = RM462

RM4.5 diff doh.gif

Ok ok ... let's say you really rich. Balance USD1k (HKD7,750; IDR9,587,730; KRW1,085,540; THB30,657; TWN29116; AUD958)
a) 3.02 = RM3,020
b) 3.05 = RM3,050
c) 3.08 = RM3,080

Difference RM30 only. Worth it to spend time to telephone, meet up, petrol, time, parking, toll, stuck in jam or public transport, risk of get robbed by unknown, etc. ?

hi guys, im planning to go japan, what is the best way to spend money there with the least conversion fees? if i take all cash, i will bear higher risk of getting rob etc etc, plus, money exchanger sure potong.

i googled around and they said, try to credit card as much as possible because its cheaper than using cash or withdrawing from ATMs there in japan. i called up my credit card CS, they said there will a 2% charge on every purchase. but the good thing is they, follow actual global rate

please advise on this smile.gif

Yes using credit cards & even cash out from ATM in countries with lousy exchange rate in M'sia much better.. However I think Japanese yen is not so badly traded in M'sia-lah.. but you still getting better rate using CC there.. well not everywhere you can use CC.. transportations & food outlets still prefer cash..

someone here in LYN tell me before maybank is quite good..haha

JR pass need buy advanced in msia and exchange for the real ticket in Japan.

Got a very small question to ask seniors in here.

Won a ticket to Korea, next February. I read the pages, and get to know its just after winter that time. (correct me if i am wrong).

Will be there 7 days. But i just got ticket. I know nothing about it. Should i get  a tour agency? If yes, please recomend me. By the way, how much money (in RM) i should change in advance?

Please advise.
