An EF-Trium CM Wiz can get up to 2.5x aspd max if not mistaken. This kind of CM wiz can easily alt between archon and freezing. EF with trium are one of the BIS for archons bcos of EF's black weap type and the trium elemental offhand.

A CM wiz with 2.5x aspd still can survive if u have good mitigation. But ppl arent goin to like u in a party bcos u arent goin to freeze well in a situation of 2 mobs or less. The reason ppl want a CM is to easily faceroll the whole act by killing stationary mobs. Just to let u know.

I can't perma freeze. elites/ubers will move alittle bit 95% freeze only

i'm aware of the EF + triumvirate combo and yeah i am bidding on cheap EF as well for archon

Hhhm avg dmg is alittle weak tho. Prices dropped so much. I guess because of the low avg dmg.

on EU at 280 avg dmg is 2b. LOL

anything above 200 avg dmg the prices are like 9 figures.

that one the avg dmg is at 170. so that's why i felt maybe is a steal.

left mouse = Energy Twister -Wicked Wind
Slot 1 = Diamond Skin -Diamond Shards or Crystal Shell
Slot 2 = Frost Nova -Deep Freeze
Slot 3 = Explosive Blast -Chain Reaction

When see a group of monsters, click left mouse at them without letting go and cast a few twisters then, spam 2 & 3 repeatedly. If hp is going down steadily, just need to press 1.

That orb is a steal because of its APoC. Pair it with chantodo wand, you can equip Mempo.

can't afford mempo with CC man.

The cheaper choice would be Andariel Visage with AR but you need Ammy or Rings which could boost you LOH.

But you do refer to CM/WW/Frost nova build right?

I'm trying to build a icey Male Wizard(no idea why gender matters but oh well ).

Of course I don't expect to play at high MP(5 and above?) but may be the old Inferno difficulty(MP3/4)


My plan for my wizard build:

At least 4K armor(the more the merrier)
700AR or more. Not sure if I can get 1K AR but I shall set my target as 700AR first
About 55K HP and above


Skill Build
I'm trying to concentrate on how I can build around Blizzard - Unrelenting Storm(680% dmg as cold). As for the rest, I have no freaking idea yet. I have 1 Frostburn glove with 30% cold dmg. I wonder how that 30% more cold damage work. 30% weapon dmg as cold?



Gonna look for items soon. More CC on Amulet so I can go easy on rings? Stuff like that. Need to sort out inventory I think I have an orb which makes blizzard last a couple of secs longer and lowers teleport's CD

For me, its alittle more interesting again to see how this is going to work. Aniweiz, my Wizard belum level 60

How do you guys deal with range attackers? I don't seem to be able to take much damage. Anything wrong?

u can try using prismatic armor instead of shocking aspects to buff ur armor n AR .. it definately help my wz in terms of survivability ... with my just average dps i dont gain much from shocking aspect
imo as a cm wiz u dont need LS from blood magic.. instead get more LoH cos WW proc LoH quite nicely to sustain ur health pool .. i hv meteor to deal with ranged mobs @ those annoying double/triple ground effect elites which i cant get close to w/out dying .. i personally use comet rune to get most from cold blooded but since u r using Conflagration passive, molten impact is the obvious choice.

I think there is a wrong set up of passive skill.
Why conflagration? As you don't use fire damage skill.

Normally, I would take teleport when playing in CM style(forgo the time slow skill).
