Attack speed affect freeze? o.O From what i know more aspd provides more ticks hence higher chance CM will be proc but you mentioned freeze.

No. The reason why we use Wicked wind because as the aspd goes up, so does its chance to proc critical strike per hit hence proc CM as well.

Blizzard Unrelenting Storm is only useful to slow down enemies and at the same time to be used to cool down players in Arreat Crater level 2 as the heat builds up

so u mean Blizzard wont crit and proc CM/LoH?? weird bcos if i remember correctly last patch Blizz did a hotfix to make sure Blizzard do crit @ perhaps Blizzard tick is less than WW (not directly influenced by aspd)?

Yes, it seems it does affect freeze.

As moba mentioned, you can perma-freeze with 3.01 attack speed.
My personal test, at 3.10 attack speed, I could perma freeze snakes at A2 (perma freeze = not moving at all).
There was drop of attack speed when I changed my rings to hellring (without IAS%) + Leoric's signet to gain exp points. The snakes at A2 did move intermittently when my attack speed dropped (they moved for 0.5 sec, not perma-freeze for me).

P/S I remember moba's whopping 3.4 attack speed.

More aspd = more ww castings per second = more proc rate of CM per second = faster cool down of frost nova = better near-perma freezing capabilities. Aspd does not affect freeze duration, it indirectly reduces cooldowns for ur frost nova. But if your fingers arent pressing the buttons correctly, u will never be able to freeze well nevertheless even with high aspd.

This 1.08 patch is a crazy buff to archons..damn its so interesting. With archons receiving extend timer even with teammate kills is a dream come true. Not to mention the increase mob density in all acts. There will be new farming routes, new party character arrangements and economy affected. When is live version coming out?

ALeUNe If my fingers are in top form with the quickness of 3.4aps and 66cc, both ZK + SB are perma-freeze that means frozen solid like statue with no movement at all from them until ZK is dead after wind-up.

Depends. Are you playing CM style? I still feel Chantodo Wand and Chantodo OH is good. EF is still okay but you benefit from the set weapon item bonus . IF your source and helm has APOC, I guess EF will work too.

As for 10 apoc, I think that is not enough. need at least from two sources. (Helm, Wand, or OH)

mobajobg i saw u keep on freezing the mobs when we were partying. I tried with my noob wiz but the freeze CD kinda long for me to spam another freeze.
