I can offer a few insight why "currently" I prefer the 2H Skorn.

1. Perfect weapon for Low MP para leveling/farming
2. Like the SSS with high dmg 2hander. Bell also viable.


If once I got bored of para levelling and decided to go for high MP, AND still prefer the Skorn then I will make a few tweak to items because:

1. Skorn is so fu*kin' slow. Need to get IAS items
2. Less headache to find BIS MH and OH

Try Sever. The best weapon for lower MP for me.
Highest damage i've ever seen (with Sever) was 30million.

MP0-3, millions and millions of damage on screen.
2% LS is more than enough.

Try it... you never know.

NOTE: This is only for low MP. For high MP, this weapon is not really effective (for me).

Tried the 2H (skorn) life, didn't care for it... too slow, not enough action...

At the Jedi Academy, they recommend all three options. Put in your inventory, use when you need it, especially for 7SS and Bell skill. Also good to 'buff' sweeping wind.

Personally, I always chose DW (although I was with sheild for a long time... back then when 1H was super expensive). Love to see continuous hits and fast actions. Fast first attack, with 2H, your first attacks is delayed. Fast to reach 3rd hit which proc with a number of things. With 2H, your LoH also not very effective. For high MP, I recommend using both LoH + LS.

To get the best from both options, I always aim for high damage Black weapon. My main hand is a fist with 549-1092 damage with no other attribute (cheaper).

Anyway, if you just want to test the ShenLong Relentless Assault, you can test mine.

Added on December 11, 2012, 5:37 pmit will really deal with millions on damage but that only happen on last hit. so, to use as LS, your main source prolly just from white mobs. you will run into troubles with elites which give you almost nil LS before it dies...

I tested it. Yes, guaranteed millions of damage.

Note#1: You need high enough DPS where you can kill mobs in 1-2 hits. Well, most of us can do that in MP0-5.
Note#2: Killing mobs in 1-2 hits? That tells you you need to do low MP.
Note#3: Cow reminded me. You need LS to have life recovery. So, you go dual-wield.

hmm.... i dont know of anyone who go high mp with skorn. but for me skorn for Tempest rush (mo0-1) only and dw for higher mp.
so yeah, everybody should have 2 sets imo

Sell it because i can't do MP10 uber with it.
Normal mobs & elites are no problem though.
Not enough LS/LOH and life recovery is too slow if i use this Sever.

gonna take a look at my mule see if there is any sever around or not.

so, DW must go for fist? (for the sake of monk feel)

I think there should be rare Black fist weapon (>1k dps) with cd, os and either LoH or ls available, that's the best but costly.

Just several days ago, a 98x dps specimen with the above mentioned specs was listed in gAH @ Bid 350M and no buyout.

If SoJ with Add % to cold damage property is used in conjunction with a Black weapon while making attacks with FoT -TC then the slow effect will not take place at all.
