ZenBooks are not meant for any serious work yo laugh.gif
Can consider this one instead:
14"
Lenovo Y480(5934-1372), i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT650(GDDR5)@RM2699[JBL], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), backlit keyboard, W7HB, 2 years international warranty

Use remaining money to extend warranty to 3 years. And upgrade the HDD to an SSD later on when you have the budget, then you'll have the perfect machine brows.gif

Hye and good evening earthing. I need help For choosing a laptop.

Budget : rm2.5 max
Usage : gaming (dota, cs source ) , adobe photoshop, video editing, Autocad or solidwork
Demand : good cooling system, 2.4ghz, 13' - 15' screen, not so heavy like carrying a giant rock (if possible) and also, good handling in multitasking.

Sorry if the demand is impossible. I have low knowledge in computer and laptop. Tq. smile.gif

Prefer brand - asus, sony, or a good one maybe.

Q: is mac is not a good choice ? I just wanna know biggrin.gif

For Asus, closest would be this one:

Asus N56VZ-S3151H, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT650M@RM2799[2.7kg][B&O], 4GB, 750GB, W8; color: black

There are cheaper ones but they are not as good as this one brows.gif

The i5-2450M is a normal processor whereas the i5-3317U and the i7-3517U are ULV (ultra low voltage) processors.
ULV processors are designed to consume less battery at the expense of performance.

For your usage, there's no need to go for an i7 processor.
Can consider these:

just curious, will there be any advantage buying i7-3517U, so that similar or better performance with i5-2410M? Just afraid that i5-3317U will be slower than i5-2410M despite being 3rd Generation.

TQ

No real advantages for office work nod.gif
Whether the laptop is perceived as fast or not is actually dependent on the HDD/SSD.... so if you have the budget, try to go for ultrabooks with full SSDs nod.gif

the 2410 is normal 1 while the 3317 or those end with U is low voltage 1, but the normal 1 is better than those low voltage
at your budget, just grab an ultrabook

if want 15.6 inch then get Acer M3-581TG-53316G52, i5-3317U + Nvidia GT640M + 20GB mSATA + 500GB HDD@RM2699[2.25kg], 6GB

I seriously urge you to take warranty support as main consideration since it is for productivity and mission critical functions (SAP). ASUS warranty support in Malaysia is checkered, to put it nicely shakehead.gif

Dell and Lenovo, on the other, provide next business day, on site (their technician go to your office / home), extendable (some model go up to 5 years) warranty support.

13"
Dell
Vostro 3360, i5-3317U + Intel HD4000@RM2249[1.67kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W7HB; colors: red/silver/bronze

Latitude has better build quality.

Lenovo
ThinkPad X1, i5-2520M + Intel HD3000@RM5999, W7P, 320GB (7200rpm), spill-resistant keyboard, gorilla glass, ext optical drive, AC/DC combo adapter

The CPU is still sandy bridge rather than ivy bridge.

For business use, based on Nexus2238's list I would say the Thinkpad T430U fits the bill.. It does have all the requirements you listed plus the unique 'Thinkpad' image that can portray an excellent corporate image.. Do check if you need a direct VGA connection to your office's old monitor.. Some ultrabooks (or mostly) may not have it and you would need to get some converter ready when you need one.

There are a lot of options to choose from (as pointed out by nexus) since you have a good budget.
And he is right, try to go for companies offering on-site and next business day warranty support e.g. Dell/ Lenovo/ HP, it will help ALOT for business usage.

In my view, you can either go for ultrabooks offering the "full business-look" or "classy and fancy" look:
For the former, you can consider Dell Latitudes/ Lenovo ThinkPads/ ThinkPad Edges (not exactly very ultrabook-like though, but they are very "business" notebooks- expect top notch built quality and user-friendliness of the input/ output devices)

For the latter, you can opt for Dell's XPS series

**Whichever you choose, be sure to use the remaining budget for 3 years on-site warranty icon_rolleyes.gif
