No.
Don't get GT640, its weaker.
Get the GT650M model.
and check the CPU is Core i7-3630QM, not i7-3610QM.

or you could wait for Lenovo Y400, if you like black/red theme colour tongue.gif

Y400 will be over 3k tongue.gif

yeah that's how u read it...

anyway it's all abt how much money u can commit... AMD-based laptops excel up to the lower mid-end market becuz of the excellent integrated graphic, but past that systems with dedicated graphic is sure leaps ahead of it...

thanks for your input guys! appreciate it, hope to get a new laptop soon! biggrin.gif

take ur time to evaluate ur options to get the one that suits ur need... it's not an easy task, but neither should u rush through and regret later...

it took me 2 weeks to evaluate my choices before zero-ing onto the one that i am using now... nod.gif

I read somewhere that Y400 has the same GT650M SLI as Y500, so yeah smile.gif

But looking at Lenovo, I don't think they will give 14" the FHD, most likely only HD. If only they at least consider HD+ ...

I've never seen any 14" notebook with FHD here laugh.gif
Well, if it has either HD or HD+ and the same GPU, it will perform better than the Y500 with FullHD set haha laugh.gif
