With 4mbps download speed but upload speed of merely 512kbps

just found out that when the upload speed is mostly occupied like when you're uploading big files to sites such as youtube, your download speed is also throttled accordingly.

I TAKE A SCREENSHOT later now working office hour...maybe anyone can assist me later.

Juts applied for an upgrade to 4mbps last wednesday ... normally how long would i need to wait for the implementation?

speedtest gives u full speed doesnt mean other website like tudou can gurantee u full speed. and u will mad over the upload speed when u do uploadings

Mine took just about 2 hour after the setup guy came my house to tweak and set up the device.
It all depends on how efficient they work, some say latest could delay up to 2 day

Long short story after arguing with TM,now my line on process upgrading from 2Mbps to 4Mbps line.
Got a call from TM to let my modem ON for 3 day straight.So here is my current line details:

Setup?what if upgrade?meaning if i have an existing subscription..

now u turn off adsl modem just wait 10min then after 10min then turn on modem let check status line details

Your Attenuation is really high, I guess this is the max speed you can get

Try change to ADSL2+ see if it increase

Still the same, your port speed is not even 4Mbit.

Could be TM fault but your attenuation is really high here.

I'm doing fresh install, not sure about upgrading though.

But I believe the procedure is the same, it is might even be easier for upgrading

You are right...my line is 2Mbps only.But I'm on the process of upgrading to 4Mbps.
The story is...
I know one of my neighbor known to subscribing to 4Mbps line...unfortunately during
submitting request at TM counter they denied my area support it,so I requesting only 2Mbps line.
But during installation I've chit chat with the contractor and he says my area actually support
up to 4Mbps,only not appear on TM system.By using his ID(maybe 4Mbps acc according to speedtest)
on my modem during the installation also proved that 4Mbps can be achieved but need reapply upgrading
after the first bill arrive.So on the first bill I make another request through the counter once again...and also
been told my area doesn't support,but they will re look again my request and have to wait for the finding.
After of waiting few month with no news from them,once again I made a report/request of upgrading
but now using phone call to 100.And after that only they ask me to fill the form through the counter.
About few days after then they requesting me by telephone ask to not shutdown my modem
for 3 days(don't know what for maybe monitoring my line).
So here I'm asking all sifus here for 2nd opinion regarding my case....

From what I know, they are monitoring can they push your connection further without causing it to keep D/C.
