Recently, there has been an increase in RC flying in Malaysia. Several are simply hobbyists while some are commercial purposes.

It's important to highlight the efficient uses of these unmanned aerial vehicles/systems/platforms popularly known as drones.

* Search and Rescue
* Aerial Cinematography and Photography
* Remote observation of towers, bridges, masts (hard or costly to reach places for maintenance)
* Aerial Video Coverage of Sporting Events, Protests, human movements
* Tactical Surveillance (help law enforcement is data acquisition)
* GIS survey and Mapping
* Accident Investigation
* ETC.....

Let us not be confused by the US military drones being used in combat theaters. We are more interested in discussing about any unmanned aerial system that could be used to improve civilian lives, and services.

This thread is also open for comments and discussion on safe usage and privacy issues in regards to these machines.

I guess so though my purpose was not to reintroduce the thread but to seek to create some kind of awareness that we all could actually band together to form a more vibrant community of pilots, flyers, controllers, (whatever name one chooses), etc.

The community could then grow and mature in ways that beat simple cyber-hangouts such as these. Not that i don't like it.

I do understand that many of us have our different fly groups and areas where each prefers to fly but imagine if most of us could actually come together and fly; like a RC festival or something. we could also be able to become a force for positive change in the minds of people about these unmanned aerial platforms and the immerse advantages they bring in a whole lot of sectors.

Got my Feiyu Tech G3 2 Axis Gimbal for my Phantom. Seems fine and great. Just a bit of shaking / vibrating when at full throttle.

very difficult la
everybody has a their own agenda ... money is a very strong pushing force
and also a very intimidating force for some ..

all the things u have listed above has some sort of commercial value .. if someone is going to take the responsibility to do it then they will expect some sort of payment
those services encompass the safety of all around it flies .. if it is being done commercially then there are rules to follow ... not just hentam only la .. LOL

i fly and take videos for fun .. for my own satisfaction ... nothing commercial
i actually fly with a group of ppl with similar interest ... some have their own agenda (not loudly sounded of coz)

My Syma X6 crashed and burned on a very high roof yesterday, I could see it stuck with a broken motor mount and the props were unable to turn. Then it rained...

Oh well, what better time to upgrade to a DJI Phantom biggrin.gif

Item no.3, where to do that coating? Any samples after the coating?

Anyway, this is a snapshot from last Friday at Setia City Mall. Noticed the haze is so terrible that day, decided to fly my P2 for aerial shot of the surrounding.

Regarding the coating, i got it from my place in Kuching. It will costs me around RM200 - RM250. Matte Black.
Ill upload the photos once its done. Still in the process of dismantling all the parts as i am still using the phantom for my video shoot.
