anyone has any experience with KDS 450QS RTF? seems like a great choice for my next flyer. not too much into 3D, just need something that's really an outdoor flyer and that's bigger than a HBFP.

both different type of fun ...
questions for u ..
are u looking into long term or only just wanna try and see whether u like it or not ?
what is your budget ?
are u willing to make repairs and learn ?
where are u located ? << go to a nearby fly site to check out other flyers and chat with them

if u are starting from scratch .... then rm500 budget could possibly get u some 2nd stuff for plane
possible laa ... maybe u might have to top up a bit for batt and charger

if heli ... then just get a v911 for about rm100

I spend RM550 at RCSMART Amcorp mall and got:

One unit J power Sky surfer Ready to Fly, which includes
=One Trainer plane, 1400mm
=One 3s lipo battery 1300mAh
=One 4 channel radio transmitter
=One battery charger/balancer (never used it, only charges)

One 3s lipo battery Turnigy 1300mAh(I got total of 2 as one only last about 10 minutes each charge)
One 4 button lipo charger with power supply (Can auto cut power when battery full, fast charge, balance charge and storage charge=makes the battery last longer)
One 5 minute epoxy glue (to assemble the plane and repairs when you start flying)

ALL NEW

You can get one, but I suggest you at least get those free RC flight simulator available on Android phone and practice a few hours before attempting to fly one. Its really not as easy as it seems. I crashed mine real bad on the first few flight.

Youtube has been my best teacher regarding this hobby

How to fix after every crash

The Sky surfer I bought is actually copy cat of this

The battery for this hobby

My plane has crashed more than a dozen times, some more than 5 floor high straight down. Its been 4 months and I'm still flying the same plane, with some additional glue and tape and carbon fibre reinforcement every time it crashes.

crashes are pretty much as frequent as charging in the beginning. and it doesn't end there. laugh.gif

so to save yourself the pain, get something that's crash resilient to train with. as much plastic parts as possible. plastics are cheaper to replace. it's not hard, thus it can break to save the other more expensive parts. a plastic heli rotor head > metal ones for training thumbup.gif .

im new as well and very interested in quadcopter, especially the ones with camera since im sort of an amateur enthusiast video cameraman as well. i've been looking around lowyat but the only beginner-ish quad available with cam onboard is the UDI 818A. unfortunately i cant find a video showing the cam quality. ive also come across the V959 and the video looks great but doesnt seem like anyone in lowyat forums is selling it. any idea where i can find it in shops in malaysia? or if there are other alternatives?
