New here... Coffee lover myself...
All the while I'm only making local coffee (the one in the local china kopitiam) in my kopitiam...but I really really wanted to learn all about espresso and others mat salleh brewing coffee...hope to learn from all the sifu here....

Currently started to learn how to use a French press and expresso pot which I got it in Ikea... Surprisingly French press very good for local coffee beans, better than using my stocking net...haha..

Local beans gone very bad if using expresso pot...very acidic...

Just to share...pls comment....I really need to learn more...tq tq

It's good to have more ppl wanting to learn more about coffee but first of all i think u need to get the basic terms right. It's called eSpresso, not eXpresso. wink.gif

Baratza encore on eBay around 750rm.
Many shops in KL selling high end stuff. Most don't  look at ppl using cheap machine. That's why I'm buying from eBay. Tried making hit chocolate last night. Choc syrup and hot milk. Heaven!

May I know is your tampar fit neatly with your basket? I ordered a 51mm but there's still some space when tamp. =x

I also have some space. dont worry... by the way our 51mm is the smallest already. if we get 49mm it wont fit our basket.

haha i thought our basket is 51mm after I measure only know it's 53mm..somemore i thought the seller give me wrong size =x currently I'm having problem using hand grind to grind the size for espresso machine.

I used set to smallest (it supposed to use smallest size) but my machine can't pump it out...tried to adjust tamp pressure still same..it drip out 1 drop by 1 drop..worried later the machine will burst and leak =x

That the problem with hand grinder. Grind not even and setting not precise. Time to get electric grinder I guess.
