Actually how much budget you want to buy a new card? If expecting very high graphic quality then have to go for better one already

what game u prefer o??some too high end games cant be played

my budget is RM300... found stygix melaka selling RM295 for this card...
to be specific, can this card play HL2, NFSC or BF2142 with no lag?

My processor is bottlenecking my gameplay.Current computer using 9600pro but abit lag T.T

my proc is soooo yesterday. only celeron 2.4Ghz, ram is 512MB DDR...
if throw in a 9600XT, will the proc be the bottleneck and limit the performance of the GC?

im using gigabyte radeon 9600xt 128bit 128mb,
gpu clock 500, mem clock 300,
auto-overclocked to 550/310 when start 3D game/applications.
running at 4x agp mode coz my intel motherboard(845grg) only support 4x agp.
bought around 2004 april at rm 600
but bundled with some games.

i bought this gc bcos the build in intel graphic processor always resart my comp when i play dungeon siege
this card still ok if dun max out the quality settings like antialiasing and anisoptropic filtering
still can play some of old game like nfs mostwanted, call of duty 2, dungeon siege 2, doom3, quake 4, splinter cell: chaos theory and so on, but with low/meduim quality setting.

never have any problem with it except sometime the fan will become very noisy.

sure got bottleneck abit...when u playing games, u can see that the proc nid to run at 100% usage to support it...

i dun mind the CPU run at 100% la it's 2yrs old already. not planning to use it for another 2yrs anyway

currently i just bought a geforce FX5500, doesn't meet my requirement. gonna sell it and buy 9600XT. so... how much will my proc bottleneck the performance?

let's say i wanna play BF2142? @ low or medium setting?

i think BF2142 u can only play at med setting, low reso....

I'm using a GeCube 9600XT 256MB for quite some time, (~2-3yrs forgor liao) I would agree, pretty good card, unless u wan to try play general using all high setting lol.

However lately its having some problem lo, starting is whenever play warcraft some "tearing" will happen lo, u will see the display suddenly at 1 spot like kena tear.

Then lately cannot play 3d game liao T.T coz the tear become more serious T.T.

So i planning to change to gc, preferable PCIe type, any good recommend?

7300GT is quite hot out there. 128MB 128bit 8pl 1.4ns with zalman vga fan only RM350

play BF2142...woo~~a good a nice game....i like it.
i play at cc with my frens, they using ATi X550 at medium setting ady laggy. but use low setting, is very smooth and graphic is still nice.

let's try not to move away from the main topic. it's a 9600XT thread after all

well, gonna buy the GC tomorrow. we'll see how it goes
