the transaction description usually will have country code at the back,
for eg: PAYPAL * LAZADA ..... SG

actually u won't be able to tell cause you can be charged in the local currency MYR and yet have cross border fees cos the payment gateway/server is hosted outside of msia

if the payment gateway is hosted outside of malaysia, i suppose it won't write MY or KL at the back.

How to know whether being charged 0.8%? Is it being charged separately or included in the final bill?

If you use the CC and merchant listed on Post #1, probably your final charged/posted amount will be higher by 0.8%

can add uber got charged 0.8%(cross broder) by using cimb cc

scb worldmiles charge some fees for agoda.. but it's still good provide they give good discount

CIMB charges cross border for Groupon purchase. 0.8%

SCB Cashback gold charged 1% on online order via Malaysia web, but, after charged, the transaction shown as Spore.

how about shopee.com.my.

if pay using card, they want us to pay in usd..

any border fee incur or not?

So far tested with Maybank + Citibank, no such charges.
Somehow for my CIMB card, I have not try it as may be charged for border fee if pay via Shopee, since their payment gateway is in oversea.
