So far tested with Maybank + Citibank, no such charges.
Somehow for my CIMB card, I have not try it as may be charged for border fee if pay via Shopee, since their payment gateway is in oversea.

seems CIMB increase its cross border fee to 1%
taobao transaction 1% charged

The rule is simple, avoid using CIMB card any oversea online transaction, then you are save.

did you pay in MYR ? You should pay in RMB  sweat.gif

Yes... if wjleong15 able to pay with RMB would be great, this would save some money.
But not everyone able with their alipay account in RMB, probably want to avoid some risk to ask alipay agent pay for the transaction? sweat.gif

I opened in Malaysia and will open a bank account in China next time to link it.
Now cannot verify my ID. It is linked to my credit cards and charged straight to my CC with 3% service charge, with cash back still OK la. However, whenever I need any fund, my China best friend will transfer to my AliPay or she helps me to pay for my stuff and we only kira when we meet each other. tongue.gif

I thought you already went to China and get your Alipay account “认证” done after open local account in there. doh.gif
Link to CC is common for foreigner outside of China, getting someone have money in alipay is another option. biggrin.gif
