QUOTE(dmc0105 @ Sep 19 2012, 12:54 PM) Im pretty sure this problem can be solved by changing usb port... I got 4x front usb port all cant be use for this operation... Change to mobo usb port then weirdly success... 1 thing i can confirm is my front usb port only recognize 1 type of connection (either adb(tab status : in android os) or fastboot(tab status : in bootloader mode) After change to mobo usb port both type of connection can be detect... At least thats what happened to me. Added on September 19, 2012, 12:58 pmBack to bootloader > relock > flash stock firmware >disable location services > skip adding google account > add vpn > add google account > open playstore > add any CC with us address/phone > success! Thx a lot bro

Hey guys, I just recently bought a TF300 over the Nexus 7 and I do regret (that thing has big issues); I bought the Asus TF300 over it because of storage size as well as USB friendly access --I'm planning to sell it off or get a refund on it to get a Nexus 7 instead.
I hope you guys can point a newbie to the right places:
I read that I'll have to ROOT the Nexus 7 to get USB OTG access. Is it safe and will it void the warranty? Can the rooted Nexus 7 power up external hard disks (500GB) for USB OTG usage?
Thanks in advance!

( Asus didnt mention anything about root but imo it still illegal to root ) Rm999 is expensive = = those imported set can be less than 900 This post has been edited by xerox8908: Sep 20 2012, 03:36 AM

QUOTE(mustanks @ Sep 20 2012, 06:52 AM) yup, for 8gb, it could cost more on tax there. Again I repeat no tax on tablet Google already said they are selling directly at a loss or breakeven Do not expect asus to follow n sell it too at a loss You can always buy direct from google to save rm100+ This post has been edited by benny888: Sep 20 2012, 07:22 AM

I think 999 is reasonable..some garage sale sellers were selling it at 1049 if not mistaken even when bring in from US..dont forget the tax that is involved and shipping costs, etc that is involved to bring the tablet in plus profit for asus malaysia too..if they sell at cost price - why bother bringing it in? Doesn't make any sense for them to do that just to sell it for the sake of selling it
