wanna ask, if change muffler only and everything else remain stock, what is the benefit i get? better performance?

from s-flow to abit larger straight flow muffler... u get very minimal improvement in performance... which is mainly at the higher rpm range... lower rpm range feels nothing different...

my plan is since the blm stock muffler is quite hideous, i wanna change it to a better looking muffler...twinpipe like perdana muffler...haha

If I want to change to open pod, must I change the exshaut system too? Because my fren's myvi, he change to open pod with stock exshaut, his car feel more underpower, he said it's becoz the exhaust system is too tiny for the open pod...

Just get a replacement hi flow drop in filter

Agree..Plus using open pod must use heatshield+cai sweat.gif
I end up switch back using k&n drop-in thumbup.gif

if mod sure intake and exhaust together la... imagine u eat so much but didnt go toilet for 1 week... all stuck inside, do u feel well after dat??...

4-2-1 p.z --> 2" pipe --> bullet mid size --> 1.75" pipe --> 2.5" tanabe straight

bad for low end torque... 2" and 2.5" abit too big...

try maintain 1.8" all the way.... end muffler can go for 2" max... any higher can la, u get what u install... smile.gif

i just wanna change to open pot/high performance air filter n 4-2-1 extractor n standard s-flow ekzos.does this increase car performance?

But recommend u use high flow performance drop in rather than open pod

this would be my recommendation for street use car...

drop-in k&n air filter
tuned length 4-2-1 extractor
midbullet replace ur catcon
1.8"~2" inlet s-flow muffler

better still if u replace the piping with a little larger ones... this depends on ur budget...

hello guys..need advice for my auto 1.3 myvi..
currently my mod is K&N drop in,4-1 hotbits extractor,1.6inch piping and at the back got 1 sflow box before the last straight flow muffler..
before this i put a twisted centre bullet but my topspeed drop a lot(140kmh only)..
so i remove the bullet and make it straight from the extractor until the sflow box and the straight muffler..
the top speed come back and can reach until 170kmh at the earlier..
but after two weeks running on this mod i feel my car a bit underpower..doesnt feel like earlier after i remove the twisted bullet.
fren of mine,auto also but with stock condition, only on 17inch rim can easily overtake me.. sad.gif
need some of the 'taiko' advice here.. icon_question.gif

losing that back pressure, giving a more free flow, do affect that bit of lower end torque... for small displacement engines, that bit of difference can make alot of difference..
