For drop in, all of them more or less perform the same
You can even try UR's metal mesh drop in air filter as well (contact EA)

Just choose the affordable ones and you're good to go (Simota OEM) <---contact EA/maddriver

Note: Did you install any LCP? LCP you definitely can feel low end torque improve

i would recon K&N over Simota. not to say that simota isnt good. drex they all should carry the them i tink.

but i had the chance to dyno with K&N and Simota b4. on the same day, same tuning. jst swapping the filters. but mine was CONE la.

difference margin between 1-2horsies tongue.gif

another brand which i think its worth getting is AEM. smile.gif

i dont use any of jasma brand. the quality is really questionable..

the fact that they named their brand jasma makes me think they want to trick people into thinking that it is a japan brand when it is based somewhere in terengganu. what a corny marketing technique biggrin.gif

works engineering crank pulley is more promising although its not really recommended to install LCP cos no harmonic damper like OEM to absorb torsion force acted on the crankshaft by piston movement

engine balancing also cant eliminate harmonic imbalance cos it reduces translational vibration, not torsional vibration

if u concern of longevity of the engine, not worth taking the risk on lightened crank pulley. race engine the odds dont matter cos it is rebuilt in short period anyway

but i agree it is strictly subjective cos the risk is different on different engine. just thot u should know what u dealing with biggrin.gif

hello,im kinda noobie but i did read everything
im driving honda city 3G vtec.

i wonder how you guys define high end revv thingy ?

does that mean if I drive from a certain RPM and above is consider high end ? Such as drive till RPM 4k-5k ? engine will spoil ? they said Vtec activated at 5k RPM something like this ?

Can someone explain to me more? thanks and regard

You need to know that the only "real" VTEC are found in Honda Type-R engines. Those VTEC found in City/Civic/Accord are just a marketing ploy (Toyota calls it VVTI, Nissan has got some other names for it - I forgotten, lol). It has the technology but it's not the "real" high revving VTEC engine. Plus, I don't think your VTEC activates at 5k rpm because it's not easy to continuously rev your engine at 5K rpm for all gears. Even my previous ride on K24A, the VTEC might be activated in low 2K-3K rpm's.

You need to sit on a proper Type-R engine to understand what VTEC is really all about and is originally intended to be biggrin.gif
