I'm assuming FC means Fuel Consumption.. well i drive a proton saga 1.5.. it's been around for 14 years.. for rm50 it goes for about 260km.

problems include engine bracket needs changing, loose brakes, leaking water, slight rust..tongue.gif

But overall it's still in great condition..smile.gif Selling it soon though..smile.gif

Iswara Aeroback owner here, WMF. My current record for FC, full tank RM65 can go 700km (Serendah - Jerteh - Kota Bharu). No Stromberg no nothing. Avg FC in traffic (Serendah - Dataran Prima commute) about 525km (full tank), sometimes can get more. Now no longer drive, ride bike, a lot cheaper !!!

Currently using Castrol Magnatec. Any Castrol users here ?

the aircon smell smoke because the 'inter circulation' cant close properly.

the main problem is, every month have to pay bank installments! tongue.gif

i drive the new Iswara/Saga (wateva they call it la)....
for those whose air cond seems like sucking air from outside, u can fix that problem...tell the mechanic to adjust the air cond intake ...i faced that problem before and it's fixed....

when i first got my car, there's something wrong with the carburetor ...they mixed up the air and petrol tube ..... got it fixed after 3rd service ...coz when i complain to them (SC) they said the car is like that (bullshit, even a layman like me knows that there's problem...the new car is giving out black exhaust smoke)....

touch wood, so far so good....fc is not as good as the older (8 valve Magma)..but still not too bad...

Driving a late 99' iswara 1.3 Aeroback.

FC is pretty good if u travel around 80-90kmph. i've tried driving from UPM to Skudai, speeding around 80-90kmph and the mileage is good, i think around rm30 worth of fuel for the 340+ km mileage.

Problem is, is pretty underpowered . Anyways i'm a slow driver, so not much fuss. Good economical car. No problems so far. thumbup.gif

i want hte power steering for iswara too, its so heavy, even a volkswagen can't be heavier on the steering part.
I can drive up to 120kmh without shaking but once it reaches 140...say good bye to a stable car.

One thing i dislike about this cars, are mainly their components tear out easily
The seatings, the sides the mirror, blah, everything.

it's easy to achieve 160-170km/hr but still remain stable. my iswara 1.5 auto is on stock sports rim. i only do frequent balancing and alignment. can speed constantly above 140 stably. cannot even feel any jerks or shakes

expensive la. get some mechanic to loosen up the steering a bit. feels like 'half-power' steering. pros is, it wont load your engine!

im running a 1.5 Manual iswara sedan, just to ask does the FC change if u put a lower profile tyres without changing the rims?

eg. 13" rim but using 175 profile instead of the normal 165 which makes the wheel smaller slighty

175 and 165 is not profile.... It's width of the tyre...
Example... 175 / 70 / 13 R 81H

175 - Width of the tyre
70 - Profile / Height of the tyre
13 - 13 inches wheel
81 - tyre load weight
H - speed rating....

175 size install with 165 tyre.... it will have minor effect....
- slight better FC coz less tranction...
- less tranction on road especially wet road...
- less comfort... coz less contact with the road between tyre and road...

if 175 is wider shouldnt it be more traction? anyway i just checked the tyre is 175 with profile at 60, so that makes it smaller right?

I have year 2000 iswara 1.3 sedan. Love the sedan because it is has spacious boot. Used to carry lots of computer stuffs.

Anyway, FC is around RM60 for 350km. That's for city driving. Everyday have to go through this bumpy road with lots of traffic.

Problem includes water entering boot which still dunno how to solve. Another problem is a/c will not be cold if the car stay stationary for long time such as during bad traffic jam. Mechanic says something wrong with the aircond circuit cutoff thingie. Changing cost around RM100 bucks. Anyone have this problem?

first get ur carb tuned properly first... ask ur mech to tune the A/F ratio... too rich or too lean will cause high FC....
besides, i know iswara underpower ma... no need to floor the pedal each time wanna pickup... slowly accelerate lo... my full tank can go 350km on housing area drive... highway can get about 450km per full tank... smile.gif

can take, i was using it for a few months till i found out for myself how bad petronas gas is. 92RON will have slightly more torque but your exhaust will go faster due to the higher carbon = deposits stuff like that.

Sure the 92RON will have more torque...

dunno how the water go in also...how to check? Just know that when raining very heavy, boot will be wet. If light rain don't have problems.

As for aircond, already tried servicing the aircond with new gas but problem still same. According to the aircond guy, when the aircond got cutoff, it sometimes cannot start back because the cutoff unit got problem. Then I said to direct connect and don't need to cutoff or cuton but he said if leave it cold all the time will cause airvent frozen. I also dunno lah...

whats more bad then 7 litres for under 40km???

7litres = RM10
RM10 X 4 = RM40
7litres X 4 = 28 litres
28 litres = 40km x 4 = 160km
so 28litres = 160km = RM40

now thats bad!...

hmm.. about the bonnet water leakage..
i sent my car to be fixed more than 3 times..
i even tell them which part water leak in..
as a result, once heavy rain, bonnet will be wet..
just put a cloth in bonnet and wipe it..

6 to 12 months i can take that. as long as it gives the sporty look and comfort. I'm not really using my car to race. so i guess it should be fine.

if rims, get the one u love most... try not to get JRD rims... they are heavy... u can ask to compare them with any taiwan rims... almost twice as heavy....
if u got the budget, get original import from japan... quality assured....

Is there any spec difference between the LMSS spring n the previous a/back version punya spring, besides that my LMSS looks abit shorter than the old version one when parked side by side (potong-ed spring?! blink.gif ) ?

You can get yourself a set of original from spring of
Proton Saga Aeroback LMST. It is about 1 1/2 inch lower than your Iswara model. If you want to be safe side, go and test drive your friends' Saga LMST before making further decision.By the way, most spare part shops fail to realise that the front
spring of LMST is different from the normal Iswara. Please ask them to check
on the updated Proton spare part book and look for "ST" version, if I'm
not mistaken, the part no should be PW 553 XXX (not the common PW 550 XXX)

They say Eibach is good between comfort and performance or maybe H&R or GAB.There are so many brands out there. The cheapest is APM Performax Spring.Being lowered, your suspension has less to travel, therefore more bumpy.
So, you have to choose. Sporty looks/bumpy ride or normal looks/good ride.

iswara on titan user... wah wah... how i wish to have a set too... haha...

anyway, u cant really choose the best of both worlds (comfort n performance)... comfort means softer suspension, performance means harder suspension...

best i guess get a moderate suspension setting which has acceptable comfort and install a good set of sway bars (although havent develop yet for saga iswara)... i'm still enquiring UR to reproduce saga iswara rear antiroll bar but there isnt any news about it...

yeah. i gotta admit the back bumper.
first case, a fren knocked me fron behind (old saga), his metal bumper dented, paint came out, num plate broken. mine just shifted a lil causing a small gap between bumper and rear lamp. not fallen off. haha...

second case, i reverse knocked a honda back bumper, the whole bumper dented like shit. mine just a lil scratch.

still using the bumper now. no change. tongue.gif
no repaint too. haha...

btw, any using KYB RS absorber for their iswara? if i use short stroke abs + stock spring. is it ok? because i heard stock spring is softer than those shorten type. pls enlighten me. thanks. smile.gif

short abs + stock springs = car lower abit...
other wise, i dont think got problem la... ride might feel bit stiff, because all short stroke abs usually harder than OEM abs...
if u use LMST spring + short stroke abs, can lower ur car about 2 finger plus.... coz LMST springs already 20mm shorter than iswara springs... better handling as well, but comfort sacrifice abit la... smile.gif

now i got problem with my kyb rs + kimex springs setup... car lower too much, now about 1.5 fingers... each time going over bumpy roads, tyres will scratch fenders... i think need to go workshop ketuk ketuk the fenders abit la... hopefully paint dont crack.... sweat.gif

I'm driving Iswara for 7 years and found out a lot of problems after 2 years of purchased. I have changed the power window for more than 3 times and not mention about the fuel indicator! biggrin.gif

Thats a normal quote from Sagarians/Iswararians....

First check those rubber that holds your window...Does water can penetrate inside your door and reach for the Power window motor and hinges...???

If yes replace the rubber immediately... thumbup.gif

buy from SM Mechanical in KL... then ask them ship over to malacca.... rm160 per piece, include shipping... (he quote me rm150 if take from KL)
short abs + stock springs = car lower abit...
other wise, i dont think got problem la... ride might feel bit stiff, because all short stroke abs usually harder than OEM abs...
if u use LMST spring + short stroke abs, can lower ur car about 2 finger plus.... coz LMST springs already 20mm shorter than iswara springs... better handling as well, but comfort sacrifice abit la... smile.gif

now i got problem with my kyb rs + kimex springs setup... car lower too much, now about 1.5 fingers... each time going over bumpy roads, tyres will scratch fenders... i think need to go workshop ketuk ketuk the fenders abit la... hopefully paint dont crack.... sweat.gif
*
btw, wat's the full name of this kayaba RS again? got packaging? now the thing that i afraid is not stiff ride, it is the abs, like u said, too low. hope my bumper wont knock on bumps. u meet any of this problem? go to multi storey shopping complex parkings with slopes.

i wonder if my original 14" tyre and jrd rim will make the wheel knock the fender or not. any idea? notworthy.gif notworthy.gif thanks. hehe...

it is called Kayaba RS... its a short stroke abs for sport springs... normal OEM springs still can use la, but will lower ur car a little... handling will improve but comfort sacrifice abit, coz harder than normal OEM abs mah (short stroke abs alwiz harder than normal length abs)...

DAMN! now i know why the bonnet senget.

I was passing this proton near kesas shah alam when i noticed few hundreds of LMST and Waja, with their bonnet open, UNDER THE HOT SUN!

I dont know what is the reason they do that, but LMST, being made from recycled tin susu, obviously had been affected since the bonnet stand is at the left hand side, hence the left side of the bonnet got the gap!

when your fuel indicator blinks or reached the empty mark, drive to the nearest petrol station. fill up to your choice of amount, eg; rm50. reset your tripmeter.

drive until your car again, reach the empty mark.

that's approximately your fc. thumbup.gif

I did a more accurate testing, but i doubt u wanna do it. too troublesome. sweat.gif

hehe. easy. fill up a 1.5l bottle of mineral water with petrol. record the price for that one bottle.

drive until your car died out of fuel. please be careful when doing this. it's quite dangerous when your car dies suddenly on the road. i did it around 10pm on a quiet stretch in bandar baru bangi.

fill up your tank with the petrol in the bottle, which i think is about rm2. bounce your car(fuel inlet side) for about a minute or else it'll be very hard to start. start your car and reset your tripmeter.

drive to the nearest petrol station. fill up petrol. maybe you wanna fill about rm10 (this is just example). fill up the bottle as well. drive until the car dies again, but no need to do this the same day la. later also can. so basically u'll find out exactly how much your car can travel with rm10 of petrol. (plus minus the rm2 from the bottle).

last time i did this with my 3 months old LMST, I got 400km for rm50.

with the current petrol price now, it should be rm60 for 400km.

when doing this test, please drive as per usual. preferably cruising+city driving of about 80km-110km per hour.

good luck! thumbup.gif

LMSS 3 years ago version. LMST is the current saga u see on the road.

Kelisa runs on fuel injection, hence better fuel consumption and performance.

u can choose between silver, red (solid), black, deep blue and sand colour. I would have to say NO to the red. The silver looks to mild and the black wasnt painted smoothly upon closer inspection. I think the deep blue and sand clour are nicer. Bear in mind that dark coloured car gets dirty faster and absorb heat.

pros; roomy interior, comfortable for 5 person and also for long journey, reliable since 1982, cheap spare parts, large boot. thumbup.gif

cons; rm55 fuel for 400km (mixed mode driving), air con sucks compared to perodua, if u r unlucky; your bonnet got some gap and your inner circulating air con still letting in outside air. cry.gif

And please, r u sure you want to buy NPS saga? think again. sweat.gif

Hi there thanks for all the information. thumbup.gif

Coz saga is cheap like hell compare to other cars with NPS rm 32,888,99. i dont really like saga too but due to montly installment is soo cheap compare to kelisa 1.0 (a) for a tag of rm 40,888,xx.

I dono who good is the iswara. iz the same old days preformance just the outlook looks better tats all. Y i prefer kelisa, coz is feul injected (twincam),power windows, centre lock, auto, PS and alram system.

Due to iswara..just becoz of the space longer then kelisa and is 1.3cc for a rm30k car. basically nothing special for iswara. *Can u guys tell me more how, what good of getting iswara?*

note: i own a 1983 saga n getting lots of prob. no aircon n many things happen. yesterday just service the car n change 2 tyres total cost rm 233. doh.gif

of course nothing special about saga lmst, just that it's a very reliable car. But please dont compare it with your 1983 saga la... sweat.gif

the good thing about this lmst is, it's still stylish and bigger than kelisa. 1.3cc and 1.0 is a big difference for me. for modifications, there are still a lot of choices which might be cheap as well. thumbup.gif

by the way, the rm30k++ saga lmst is a very basic model, no sport rims, no mufflers, no rear spoiler and of course...non power steering. so if u r planning to buy this one, might as well go for kelisa. I've seen this version on the streets, and somehow it's downright ugly. sweat.gif

will think about it again...i though rm 30k saga provide the skirtings??

the salesman show me the actual car it comes with skirts. but the rims soooo yuckie~~ for the standard specs.

kelisa....ya although is 1.0 cc n abit pricy.....but i think the performace wise much better then iswara is tat so?

yah, performance wise kelisa has better power-to-weight ratio compare to LMST....
but of coz, there are wonders u can put into ur engine bay to make ur LMST fast... if u have already paid for the LMST, settle down for it and dont look at other cars loh... no point comparing coz u will notice there are lots more car which are better than LMST....
if u see it this way, u will love u car more... hehe...

hmm, what enhancement u can do to ur car:
>> engine <<
- 421 extractor
- performance air filter (open-port or drop-in)
- 15" sport rims, better tyres
- good set of adjustable coilovers
- tinted windows
- Recaro seats
- power steering
- better alarm system
-

it is endless man... besides, in future u might able to tranplant a more powerful engine into it... so, why not jz settle down and admire ur new car??... cheers...

PS: i do love my iswara... i'll say no even have to trade with a myvi...

you'll get the skirtings, but not the rear spoilers. the rims come with cover caps. and the standard exhaust tail (like old saga) looks odd on the lmst. sweat.gif

hmm...in terms of highway driving, i think lmst can beat kelisa...let's hear what others have to say 1st.

ohh thanks the_catacombs

ya...i book liow..but refuntable. better dont c other cars then. if not make me doubting only. Fine Forget *KELISA* focus on my New LMST hehe

okie serious question now. worth of getting the rm 35k iswara (coz they offer all colours for rm 35k spec)

Or worth of getting rm 32k standard package (tat only offer silk colour- silver) i lov black colour or the yellow. But i have to choose the rm 35k spec package.

In calculation for both package. The diff is rm 2.8k (rm 32k & rm 35k). iz worth of getting the rm 35k one? coz is only way i can choose black/yellow for the rm 35k package.

So as u mention above, the mod can be made are:

>> engine <<
- 421 extractor
- performance air filter (open-port or drop-in)
- 15" sport rims, better tyres
- good set of adjustable coilovers
- tinted windows
- Recaro seats
- power steering
- better alarm system

Will it cost alot to mod it? i see iswara have nothing much to mod from the outside. Maybe the inside parts.

Anyway, what package u guys take?

-->Package A (rm 32k) ===NPS, Standard
-->Package B (rm 35k) ===NPS, Full Spec
-->Package C (rm 38k) ===PS full accessories

And how long is the waiting list to get the car?

Lastly~~ what colours u guys prefer?

--Yellow/Blue/Black/silk/Red (solid)

Thanks everyone for the opinion~

Cheers~

Front speakers u have to assemble the mid bass to a circular speaker box and attached the box using screw just above your front doors side pocket.

If u r changing the OEM rear speakers to a 6x9, u have to change the rear board to a harder one and fix the speakers there. Or else maybe u can use the speaker box thing and fix it on the original rear board. thumbup.gif

They are using foam to cover the hole. It is sprayed into the hole. Then, the foam will become harden.

Hi there. I do it in Penang. They purposely come to Penang and do it for us. They did 4-5 cars. 2 of them Iswara. 1 Honda City. 1 Waja.

No, I don't feel bumpy at all. Maybe because at the same time, I change my arsorber and tyre to Michelin.

I just feel that everything corner I take become very smooth. Less under steer. Its now more fun to drive. biggrin.gif

Mine is A/B. Arsorber is APM performax. Tyre is Michelin XM1 (RM130 per piece).
Changing both will make your car very comfortable and quieter tongue.gif

But if you want better connering, get the lowered absorber+lowered spring tongue.gif

Michelin in Klang less than 120, I think the shop quoted 115.

Bridgestone leh..120-130 or so

for LMSS stock rim size

PS. Check tyre pressure after changing tyres cos the shop will put damn low pressure to make it "feel" good. tongue.gif

u have to carefully remove it. those are industrial standard double tape. so if u wanna fix it back in place, better find the same mounting tape before proceeding. thumbup.gif

R u talking about the 'orange' LMST?

I've recently spotted this version, with Perak plate. Quite nice looking I may say. thumbup.gif

The front grill i think is more efficient in terms of ventilation, and i can see that they have removed the 'rear-side spoiler' leaving only the rear spoiler in place. thumbup.gif

Initially I thought the owner send it for spraying, but looking at the barcode sticker still stuck at the driver's side, I came to the conclusion that this car is in its original coat.

anyone can enlighten me a bit? I dont think this version selling anywhere in klang valley. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

yeah...might try to get the grill. lol...but if wanna remove the proton logo, we need to get new grill net. btw, the back spoiler is better now...not that fugly with tail gate thingy. and the aircon duct is also improved like those in kancils. hmmm...wonder if i could change to those. the currently design have dead corners and loose plastics.

oh yeah, bout the skirt. mine one side there's a gap in the middle cos the original double sided tape din stick on properly (bought like that). wonder how could fix that...cos it is a bit ugly. haha...

use thinner. do it under sunshine.

cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif
anyway, today is my bad day, my 4 month old LMST bumper and skirting sudah hancur. The frustrating part was, it was only a silly mistake (not accident)...I reverse out from a parking and because I turned to quickly, i grazed the left side skirt and bumper. luckily no. the guy said he will try and fix back the bumper to its original state. the skirting have to be replaced though.

he quoted me rm250 (skirting i buy myself before sending the car to them)...have to wait for end of month though...no money yet. cry.gif cry.gif

anybody knows is it possible for me to get the original skirting left side only? where can I buy? sweat.gif

because I've check the aftermarket skirting (same design) at accesories shop....I have to buy 1 pair for rm120. So the other 1 i keep for what? maybe wait for the other side accident oso... whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif

Hie to all the taikor here, noob here, would like to ask if u guys knew the 2006 LMST exterior any change from 2005 model?
The reason i'm asking is due to me gettin a LMST N-line ( the cheap cheap 32k one), sweat.gif sweat.gif coz the 2005 stock with $2.6k discount out of stock leau, so left 2006 model. I enquired the salesman but he said no difference from 2005 model, the one with different grill and red rear lamp one is Special Edition according to him..So if it realli is the same exterior with 2005, i understand can check thru the engine number to identify year of production rite? The problem is how do i know the production number? Any web to check?

Thanks & Cheers happy.gif

Slightly out of topic... if plan to tint your LMST, what colour matches the tinting colour? My LMST is black...shall I go for golddust? or maybe platinum? What tinting company is the best in tinting in terms of colours and heat reduction?

I am currently on a Saga LMST as well.. I would like to know the Saga of you guys really got "beep" when you forgot to turn off the headlights after off engine? I came across that in my manual as well but my car doesn't seems to have that feature.. I asked the Proton Edar machanic during my service but he said don't have after trying it on another new LMST.. Hmm.. but I saw someone in previous post saying his car will have "beep" when his radiator water temp is getting high.. same as the "beep" when forgotten to off headlights.. feedback please smile.gif Thanks..

Anyway guys, my nearly 1 year old LMST FC is still ok.. very depending on my driving condition (town/expressway) and air-cond usage.. the best I can get is RM 0.10/km for RM 1.62/litre time..

Yeah...I own a Iswara for a few years already. So far...very reliable where it get me to point A to point B without problem. I use 10W-30 motor oil only because I want to jimat minyak. I do my own oil change. Mileage : 210,000 KM. I have this love - hate relationship with my Iswara. I hate my Iswara because no matter how hard I punish it....it still goes on...on...and on... biggrin.gif

P.S. My regular mechanic says that Iswara, Kancil and Kelisa are some of the most reliable car in Malaysia.

describe ur problem to ur mech lor... then ask him give suggestion how to imporve ur fc...
if he recommend many many stupid fuel saver gadget, dont trust him... hahaha...

okla okla, back to the point... try to do regular service on time... means change engine oil after every 5000km... this will reduce wear n tear to ur engine... which means a healthy engine will not increase FC....
besides, get ur carburettor tuned once in a while... clean them with carb cleaner... ask ur mech to re-tune the A/F ratio... if ur car running rich, will waste petrol... if running too lean, might damage ur engine... so better get it tuned once in a while...

My father sold proton saga to my uncle nine years ago! the proton saga if i'm not mistaken is 1989. now is 2006..!! So, the age of the saga is 17years old.!! But now, the car still got no prob..!! only some minor prob becoz it was too old and its never changed engine!! As i know, the chassis also is very tough

I own an iswara lmss. Typical to proton, after 3 years, problems here and there popping up. central lock, boot....

got into an accident 2 years back and the car was towed. The guys towing the car are also the mechanics, and foolish I was back then, I allowed them to repair the car.

Got me the lowest grade front bumper, which a slight knock will crush it. Kissed a Satria last week. His back bumper was fine but mine almost fell off if not for the 2 screws reinforcing it. And they broke my wind screen....the work they did to replace the wind screen was reli bad. And now, water drips in. Haih....because of these buggers, problems here and there.

Anyone knows, how much to change the front bumper to a proper one, together with spray? Asked my mechanic and he told me nowadays, the non ori bumpers are all the fragile type. Including spraying is onli 300+.

can can... if u have impact drill, drill a small hole and screw the skirts on with screws... but then, thats not the proper way lor... screws look ugly... better get it done in accessory shops... they charge max rm20 lar.... cheap cheap only....

i notice OEM bodykits uses bolts to bolt the sideskirts on insteads of rivets... can we do the same for aftermarkets body parts??.... it looks more durable...

OEM bodykits uses bolts/clips and bonding material and looks nicer. As for the fiber aftermarket bodyparts, yes u can use the same method, provided that the kit is at least 99% exact in terms of size and dimension.

autogauge meters cost about rm90 for vacuum gauge lar... installation not so sure... but some managed to DIY install them... jz need to tap some wire in ur engine bay... i also wanna put one ler, use them to tune my carburettor.... put it in my waiting list first....
first, make sure everything is in fine working condition without unwanted noise or disturbance.... after that only start modding ur car...
btw, what tube u mentioning??...

Let me see:

antirust,dynamat,insuflex,1mm cement, new paint, new rubber insulators, new door panel, brown bread, hirotako and you can even scream in your car and nobody will hear a thing.

i am thinking of selling my year 2000 iswara sedan 1.3L. Anyone know how much I can sell it for?

Absolutely no mods done on it. Very much a vanilla car. Only changed the rim to sports 14" JRD. Tyre still less than 1 year old Bridgestone cheapest model..I think it's Turanza or is it Potenza..whichever cheaper. Still it's very good tyre and very silent with good grip. Must be soft compound.

Mileage only 52,000km. Still very good condition. But too bad iswara second hand value very low... sad.gif

2000 1.3 i think around 16k only.. not much value especially after NAP.. since a new kebal is only ~27k

how long is it since you last changed your transmission oil? transmission oil should be changed after travelling 30,000 km. but a used gearbox should cost around RM 300

Sounds abit expensive but the labour is reasonable. A new gearbox is around RM 950. But it's not worth getting a new one if the car is more than 5 years old.

You can change the transmission oil yourself provided you have the proper tools. You also need to buy a barrel of transmission oil tongue.gif

When you jack up your car, you'll see a nut below the transmission case. Put a pail below the hole and unscrew the nut so that the previous transmission oil will pour out completely. Then screw it back and refill it with 3 litres of transmission oil

Ya. my gf LMST dont come with a clock as well.
I guess its because of the dashboard design.
But the stock clarion player can set to display time.
Read the manual or PM me if you need help.

Its different version.
last time Cd and Cassete player come with small screen and seldom display time.
So now i think its not a problem to abandone the clock on the dashboard as the stock player come with an clock function.

Apparently the starter motor/alarm relay got some problem.. cost 10 bucks to fix temporarily.. then my regular workshop installed an alarm bypass..can start using wire when key is set to "on" position rclxms.gif

Sounds abit expensive but the labour is reasonable. A new gearbox is around RM 950. But it's not worth getting a new one if the car is more than 5 years old.
*
I do a few price asking still around rm600-650 for used gearbox through workshop. Recently i changed the right side drive/line shaft unsure.gif for rm130 + rm40 labour. It this cost acceptable i felt it little too much. If sifu outhere felt its high too, pls recommend me any good workshop in klang area.Tq. :hel cry.gif p:
