Slightly out of topic... if plan to tint your LMST, what colour matches the tinting colour? My LMST is black...shall I go for golddust? or maybe platinum? What tinting company is the best in tinting in terms of colours and heat reduction?

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Mar 26 2006, 12:28 AM) I am currently on a Saga LMST as well.. I would like to know the Saga of you guys really got "beep" when you forgot to turn off the headlights after off engine? I came across that in my manual as well but my car doesn't seems to have that feature.. I asked the Proton Edar machanic during my service but he said don't have after trying it on another new LMST.. Hmm.. but I saw someone in previous post saying his car will have "beep" when his radiator water temp is getting high.. same as the "beep" when forgotten to off headlights.. feedback please Mine Beep when I'm speeding...Mayb it's telling me not to go above 110kmph. Anyway guys, my nearly 1 year old LMST FC is still ok.. very depending on my driving condition (town/expressway) and air-cond usage.. the best I can get is RM 0.10/km for RM 1.62/litre time.. |

Ah...I've just changed all my stock tyres from Sime tyre to Continental tyre. Using Comfort Contact-1. Not bad I may say compared to Goodyear and Silverstone. Feels good. If only i changed those boucy absorbers, it would feel like a Beemer
Any absorbers to recommend? |

It depends how you bring your car. Firstly I tend to speed (120kmph is already scary, mind you) at 110kmph and while taking corners, you could feel the difference in tyre grip. Furthermore the condition of our Malaysian road, many thanks to Uncle Samy... the uneven roads can be the benchmark but mind u not the potholes.
Lastly I love the water puddle test. When I was using Sime Tyres (the stock tyres), at 40kmph also the car can skid. Now I could go up to 70kmph, it's still stable (tested on Ah Beng Iswara, no power steering) It's like wearing new shoes now |

QUOTE(ceo684 @ Sep 11 2006, 09:44 PM) Try bridgestone potenza or goodyear NCT5, quite good...best for wet: goodyear eagle F1 (but that's 15" and above) The last-for-ten-years sime tyres are long lasting but sucks in the wet whereas the medium to high end tyres are much better. I tried Goodyear eagle F1 on my waja..sucks. So I changed to Michelin. Bridgestone wears quite fast. I wonder what about Silverstone? Sime tyres are quite lasting but not safe for a Malaysia climate and roads. I had my stock Sime tyres for about 3 years already with a 50K km mileage. Oh plus...when I changed my tyres, the person in charge of doing my alignment mentioned I should change some screws since my tyres were not aligned. Do you think I should do it? Coz it happened to me before that when I changed the screws of my waja, the alignment runs off easily and have to realign every now and then which is every 3 months. I don't know about ISWARA since it's non power steering. |

My Iswara starts to give weird sound. It's usually on gear one. When I go up a bump from total stop to gear one (when I had to use my condo access card at the security gate) the engine have some screeching sound. Should I tune my clutch to be lower?

I don't think it's the timing belt...coz it's not screeching sound. Mine is more like as if your rims rub againts the cement sound but it comes from the engine. Nope..it doesn't occur during cold start only. And it seems to get even worse, gear2 balancing also got sound.
