3 yr including the battery.

Battery technology is pretty mature now, say an example, how often you have problem with your phone battery? Your battery may drain fast due to heavy consumption but have you ever wake up and found out your battery suddenly die?

I would worry more on camber angle, alignment, suspension, radiator, air cond compressor rather than battery.

My problem is: When Toyota release Li-ion battery pack for PC, it is very hard not to buy it.  laugh.gif

Actually I hope for the Lithium iron phosphate battery, Li-ion is considered not stable and may explore in accident, on the other hand, Lithium iron phosphate battery is stable, safer, cheaper and longer cycle life than Li-Ion, Li Iron also has higher current output than Li-Ion, make it ideal candidate for Electronic Vehicle.

Using mineral oil, what is the maximum speed on EV mode when going down a slope? Currently mine is 78km/hr. At 79km/hr, the EV sign normally disappears. I want to know if this is an improvement after I have switched to fully synthetic oil. I can't remember the max EV speed when my car was running on mineral oil.

I am not talking about driving with the EV mode button on, I am referring to the EV mode on the ECOScore page.

U must purchase in PJ....??

Steps to apply

1) go to MBPJ website look for the form, print the form

2) read all the instruction

3) prepare all required document

4) Go MBPJ HQ submit, go to OSC get approval then submit to kaunter 2, wait 30 mins if lucky, not lucky max 2 hrs...

5) if step 1 to 3 unable to proceed, straight go MBPJ OSC ask the officer, then fill in the form & prepare all the documents

to get good mileage on EV mode manually, from priuschat not recommended unless above 6 bar...

The automatic EV means no need press got their own condition where ur press pedal skill must superb, I somehow manage to run on motor up to speed about 59km/h maintain is very difficult press the pedal...

U try use the animation of the wheels, motor, engine, u can understand the condition....

If u go thru the operational manual, it go mention on which condition EV mode can work....

So far with the above, most of my trip summary giving me at least 25km/l.....

@timeonce and other PC owners

if you all have a confirm information on PC start up whether using battery or petrol, please do share it out so I may inform the moderator to change the correct information via Honda Insight Lowyat Thread. The FAQ in Honda Insight is obtain from Honda sales advisor and may not be accurate .

So please do let everyone know how Prius C is start when battery is low and I try my best to inform them and make the correction. Let us contribute the best and not letting other owners feel misunderstanding on the FAQ .

Hope you all enjoy the TT. @timeonce, work hard ya smile.gif

You request here contain a few question

1) PC start up using batt or petrol, refer to operation manual it starts on petrol or batt depends the condition when u start the car...

From, For eg, if below hybrid system below 20 C, it will start with petrol ( this is 1 of the condition)

2) Prius C battery will be always low if you always use EV mode manually, no starting issue

3) Your batt low is refer to batt totally discharge or empty is it? From manual, teach us to jump start batt at back seat

4) Manual is uploaded, please kindly go through

5) I believe SA did not read all the operation manual

6) Anyone have problem with PC regarding batt, pls report here
