my area also a lot of prius on the road .. and Prius C here got around 6-7 almost everyday can see PC .. while prius here everyday can see .. me too at first want to get the Prius but at second though dont want as it will attract some ppl to target us .. i have saw some on forum say at first they want to get PC but bcos of the long waiting list previously they change to prius ..
*
I m future to own PC owner, I heard from SA now got ready stock for certain colors how can long waiting list....

I goin to order after 18 next month.....

I m hesitating bcos too many older generation ppl means driver which is almost or above 50 are skeptical about Prius C technology.....bcos they believe the saving is not worth the money pay for the car......

Here got any veteran owner? how do you convince yourself? Maybe some sifu or tai kor can teach how to explain to this group of drivers.....

HSD mean it work together with Engine & Motor. If you cruise above 60-70km/h & when accelerate, engine will kick in due to engine is more efficient in high speed & more powerful.

Just visit toyota site for more info on HSD.

30km/l are base on good traffic condition & driving condition(light footer). Average are 20-22km/l.
*
if i get about range 22 to 26km/l very good d

normal petrol engine from 11 to 18km/l

already range about 50% more....

no point much difference for 2 or 3km/l, correct me if I wrong....

it shud be comparing with the previous car u driving....

current now mine is less than 11km/l for a almost 30 yr old toyota corrolla

get a prius C theoretically is might get at least 30 to 40% better fuel consumption....

looks the PC consumption is quite similar to NGV but harder to maintain NGV & gas cheaper....

According to Toyota estimates the fuel economy 35 km/L (82 mpg-US) (2.86 L/100 km) on the official JC08 Japanese test cycles and 40 km/L (94 mpg-US) (2.5 L/100 km) under the 10-15 test cycle.  rclxm9.gif

Under the United States Environmental Protection Agency test cycles, the Prius C is rated at 22.5 km/L (53 mpg-US) (4.4 L/100 km) city and 23.3 km/L (46 mpg-US) (5.1 L/100 km) highway, for a combined fuel economy of 21.2 km/L (50 mpg-US) (4.7 L/100 km), the same as the conventional Prius but better in city driving.  thumbup.gif

I think I trust the US rating more, if not those American will start to sue Toyota.  rolleyes.gif but also depend how you drive  sweat.gif
*
how come (46 mpg-US) (5.1 L/100 km) highway use more fuel? Is it 4.1/100km?

I think maybe US is using same rim as us & their driver weigh much heavier...haha icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif

where else japan is using smaller rim & tire...if unsprung weight different 10kg is a lot difference.... means 2.5kg a rim....

IINM thats the oni difference....

QUOTE(engah @ Nov 26 2012, 04:05 PM)
Actually car price drops every year. When we sell the car, the price will be about the same, regardless of buying in Jan or Dec. I have used my car for 7 months now. If the  depreciation is 10% for the first year, this translates into 4~5k already. The discount is to compensate for this loss in value. We can't really say it is a gain. By jan 2013, their car's value (bought in Nov/Dec) will be the same as mine (April), if we were to trade in. My personal opinion

Added on November 26, 2012, 4:10 pm

No, it runs when the car moves, be it powered by petrol engine or electrical motor. Or else, Nissan Leaf, which has no petrol engine would have zero mileage all the time?
*
thanks...

But i think I m the only buyer who want to take the car later, loan approved but not 1 take the car earlier bcos of the stupid weather & road construction near my house.....

SA now pushing me to take care.....

Btw the car installment 1st payment will be 1 month after car collection or when will start.....

This official will be 1st car under my name.....so need guidance on minor issues.... blush.gif blush.gif

Just to share with fellow PC-ians, beware at Cyberjaya:
Just got chance to pass by the ditch I ran over again early this month at Cyberjaya. Obviously a lot of cars kena (see the rim scratches at the right edge).
user posted image

As the result, the new tyre gone with all threads broken inside. My tyre man said luckily it is Bridgestone due to extra layer of threads, the tyre will burst immediately if poor one. At least the tyre last me to the nearest rest station. However, it cost me RM245. (Toyota SC quote me RM270++ and they don't even have ready stock).
user posted image
user posted image

Also the front right tyre camber angle gone, and Toyota SC refuse to fix for me. On inspection report, it was writing "Request to install camber crew (outside the workshop) for further camber adjustment". If I don't want to install camber screw, then have to change the suspension set (knucker, lower arm, absorber etc) part by part till the camber angle fixed.

warranty?

can install outside the camber nut?

Will toyota still warranty ur car....

Let us know the resolution....

QUOTE(wankf @ Nov 28 2012, 10:16 AM)
Question is what kind of tyre repair kit they provided in HJ. A bottle of sealant and an electric compressor or just a normal tyre repair kit that most tyre shop are using. The problem with the sealant is that it won't work for larger leaks, and the glue leaves the tyre beyond repair.  sweat.gif

The manufacturers' main consideration is, of course, the bottom line is even those little donut wheels cost up to RM300+. A repair kit, on the other hand, costs about or less then RM100. Do yourself a favour and check the arrangements in your car's boot. That way, when you next get a flat, at least you won't be surprised.  nod.gif
*
Repair kit, is it the 1 just pump in the latex gas into the tire?

I use before but when repair is damn smelly....

The tire shop pomen might not 1 repair for u if the damage looks serious but not.....

Today pay d/p, documents submit 2 weeks ago....

Collect car 1 or 2 weeks later....

Not SA delay, I delay..... brows.gif brows.gif

When goin stop rainin?? sweat.gif sweat.gif
