i think Peter Schmeichel was the only City player we ever respect... tongue.gif

Remember when he was playing against United, he threw his gloves to the United crowd and they all cheered and loved it...

Its like someone make a loan to buy a car, let the car race. The money prize is used to cover up the loan, instead of improving the car.

Car = ManUtd
Glazer = Buyer

Actually the Glazer have done a great deal, but just for themselves. Not for the club.

They do improve us. The commercial side, the players we brought in under them plus plenty others and the period under them have been our most successful on and off the pitch. The debt sucks of course but not much we can do. It's their club, and they chose that way to buy the club, and so far it's been manageable. Hope it stays that way.

As for City and the Munich chant.. minority like with all clubs. Even some of our fans last week didn't cover ourselves in glory.

As for them having sugar daddy, well, everyone knows it, and like Chelsea before, they would be reluctant to admit it, but lucky them. Just like in the past where we rise back to the top seeing off the likes of Blackburn, Newcastle, Arsenal in the past and recently seen off Mourinho's Chelsea, we will do the same with City with a bit of luck(injuries!).

DDG, Lindegaard
Rafael, Fabio(may not be a starter, but would provide good cover both sides), Smalling, Evans, Jones, Buttner
Valencia, Nani, Cleverley, Ando, Young, Powell
Rooney, Chicharito, Welbeck

Rio, Vida, Evra Scholes, Giggs, RVP got another few years in them yet..

Could easily last us another decade most of those players. Hope Nani signs that new contract.. any news regarding his situation?

Fergie explains keeper rotation

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he is trying to make sure that goalkeepers David De Gea and Anders Lindegaard get enough experience in the Premier League.

Ferguson alternated between the duo at times last season and has done so in the first few weeks of the 2012/13 campaign.

The Scotsman explained that he is doing so to make them both get a better grip of the English game.

"The most important thing I'm trying to do is give both of them experience in the English game," said Ferguson. "Neither is as experienced as Edwin van der Sar or Peter Schmeichel.

"Alternating isn't a problem for me. They're both equally very good goalkeepers.

"That's the policy we've adopted this season and last season, although De Gea played most of last season after Lindegaard was injured. I'm comfortable with this situation."

I am not sure about others but for me, this is not really ideal for the defense as the back four will have to play with different keeper all the time. It will be hard to have a proper understanding among them if they going to play with DDG one week and then AL the next week.

Swapping player in and out dont sound too good but if its goalkeepers i think should be okay. Both our keepers are too good to be benchwarmers. Every blunder they make which cause a goal automatically sit bench next game until the current keeper repeat the same mistake.
Besides i think saf said he will rotate them keepers because he cant decide who to pick atm, both look equally not so stable laugh.gif

I remembered Cassilas had to sit out from games now and then when he first broke through. I would be ok with if we do that to DDG. He's still young afterall. I don't agree with rotating like what happened early last season, even though Lindegaard is very good himself.

Lindegaard is too good just to be a #2. And he needs games as well considering his playing experience is more or less like DDG's.

We see DDG as future #1. Thats the plan(why else give him the #1 jersey), and he's good enough to start for us every game anyways right now. But seeing how young he is(for a GK), we're probably doing this to protect him and prepare him mentally by giving him competition and drop him every now and then to see his reaction. He was awesome after he got back in goal mid last season. Probably gonna be a few seasons like this sadly for us. Hope they both don't let us down too much. Last season the rotation was cut short because Lindegaard got injured for the 2nd hald of last season.. Be interesting if we kwwp doing it throughout the season this time around.

rotation doesn't necessarily mean one week DDG, one week Lindegaard
Lindegaard has been playing the last 2 league games, no?
Maybe we'll see more of DDG in UCL, and perhaps Lindegaard will play more often domestically
Afterall DDG has more experience playing in Europe having previously played in Europa League for AMadrid

it's okay to rotate GK for now, but shouldn't last longer than couple of seasons I guess. many would expect DDG to cement the place for himself, but AL often reminding that he's not coming just to be no 2 and his performances so far have been telling so. if DDG won't get it, my guess is barcelona will be after him lol

about last night match, I thought having kagawa and RVP at the bench against wigan is already a luxury, but madrid yesterday had Ozil and modric as benchwarmers against City plus ramos benzema lol

Very curious to know who will start tonight.

Well, Fergie said rotation the keepers in order for both of them to get more experience in english game. Let's look at the positivity smile.gif

Or you guys can sleep now, set the alarm at 2, after watching football, continue sleep, wake up at whatever you want to. Then just continue what you suppose to do like usual.

This one works for me.

Sadly that is true for alll football club really.

I want to see fotball tournaments where money is not a factor for a change.

All 20 teams stat he season wih he same budget ala fantasy football.

dunno about the claim though. while they cannot challenge the title overnight, they do have the quality pre oil sheik. they have good management bar thaksin shytstorm

i think they'll go spurs route if the oil sheik opt not to pour the quid;a gradual change
