From using my Lumia 900, you can have custom ringtone/ alarm tone, but not custom SMS/ Notification tone

Just google for instruction. Or better, use apps such as Yourang (Convert youtube video as ringtone direct on the phone)

well, wp8 now supports it... so no need to convert/reduce the length now... just transfer mp3 files directly to ringtone folder in phone from pc

Have to wait microsoft to release Data Sense for non AT&T unit... that app very powerfull to monitor app bandwidth usage.

It's arriving on January or so according to Microsoft. But not quite sure when for Malaysia carrier.
I was looking for one as well it seems counter doesn't support WP8 which is quite sad.

Glad there is no extra charge anymore for bandwidth on Maxis if not that app will surely come in handy.

guys, i plan to take L920 by these package, would it be wise to take which:
*48plan?
*68plan?
*88plan?

I'll be tied for 24 months on this instalment scheme..
the rate is quite.. 10 sen per sms rather expensive and would 48plan suffice enough for moderate whatsapp? I am currently using maxis prepaid plan at the moment and this is my first smartphone.

is it wise to pay using instalment compared to straight buyout?

*
Erm... it depends... Are you a frequent data user?

Actually the plan they offered for Lumia 920 is not valuable (at least that's what I thought). Some of them rather get the phone from Nokia store and get IPhone's bundle data package since the mobile plan for IPhone is better.

Btw, I don't think you can open a thread about this >< Since it's specific headphone discussion board. You may want to close your thread before MOD close it smile.gif

If not mistaken, Nokia Express (you can download from store) have the similar function.

Imo and so are other friends of mine, new phones that bundles with Telco plans are worth it if that phone has a good ecosystem, meaning the phones price won't drop 200 suddenly in few months time.

Well the Nokia Express isn't that good as you need to browse and read stuff using it instead of Internet Explorer.
I tried once wasn't really that good.

Well forgot to mentioned for iValue postpaid plan only.
They sms me and let me know that they +1gb more quota for the package. (Due to iPhone 5 new iValue plan)
And they announce that if you use more no extra charge except the internet will be slow a bit.
Which is quite a good deal IMO. I was planning to change package but after the offer, i'm not gonna change haha.

What on earth are you saying?

Maxis now (since a couple of weeks ago) practices fair usage i.e. no additional charge if you exceed your quota. But the speed will be throttled. However, this policy only applies to those subscribers with 1gb and above. So, if yours is below 1gb, you will be charged.

I am quite upset about the battery life issue.
I have this phone for almost 2 weeks. After fully charged, I turned on wifi and just checked a few times facebook and then whatsapp like exchanging 12 messages. in 2 hours it dropped to 88%. this morning it dropped to 77% (with everything turned off, except the phone itself while i slept last night). Now i turned on 3G (not even really browsing anything), with music on (listen with earphones) it dropped from 77% to 61% in 1 hour.

When days with only 2G, and no games (with all background apps turned off. no location, no wifi, no nfc, etc). It lasted a bout 1 day and 18 hours.

I believe low stock is for this moment only. However, come 7 January (this is what is reported) when they officially launch the new Lumia series, there should be enough inventory to go round (depends on demand again).
